DESCRIPTION:
This temporary position will support Aetion’s global People Operations team to administer key aspects of the employment lifecycle covering areas such as Payroll, Benefits, & Compliance.
The ideal candidate is analytical, detail-oriented, proactive, a good problem-solver, and a strong communicator. This is an ideal opportunity for someone who is hands-on, versatile & flexible enough to tackle a variety of projects while developing expertise in HR areas such as HRIS systems, employee experience and programming, and HR policies.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Partner with People Operations leads in the US and Spain to collaborate on high-priority HR initiatives
- Manage and process payroll for multiple countries in partnership with third party payroll providers
- Support compliance programming in the US and Spain, manage compliance documentation, generate SOPs, develop & maintain relationships with vendors, and communicate with employees on internal requirements.
- Run reports and share materials (slide decks, one pagers, trainings) on benefits, performance management, or employee engagement
- Support building training modules or act as an administrator for Learning Management Systems (LMS)
- Research relevant local laws/regulations and develop best practices for onboarding, training, payroll, and benefits management.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Communication, Psychology, or related field.
- 3+ years of experience within an HR/People function.
- 1+ year of experience processing payroll.
- 1+ year of experience with HRIS systems, employee programming, and HR policies.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively in written and verbal English.
- Proven experience leading compliance projects.
Preferred Qualifications
- Proficiency in clear, concise, and compelling oral and written communication.
- Bilingual in Spanish and English preferred.
- Proficient in Google Office Suite.
- Experience working with a global team.
