Rock star radar is our spontaneous application for non - faculty roles. The ideal candidate should actively seek to understand ALU’s core values and initiatives, and translate those values into everyday practices in the role they believe ALU needs. RESPONSIBILITIES
You will be working in a mission-driven environment, with passionate and interesting people. You will have opportunities for both personal and professional growth, and to work outside of your roles on other projects you are passionate about. ALU team members work hard but have a lot of flexibility and a great working environment. Duties you will perform in this role include:
- Manage finance queries via a ticketing system by responding regularly and properly to students, sponsors and stakeholders queries.
- Escalate invoicing, credit notes and students refunds queries to relevant team members and ensure they are sorted out on time.
- Maintain excellent working relations with finance customers.
- Escalate any discrepancies related to finance accounts.
- Assist in debt collection to minimize overall account receivables outstanding debt.
- Send statements of account to students where required and follow up on payment.
- Any other finance related ad-hoc duties to support the Finance Team.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of all young persons and vulnerable adults with whom we deal, by adhering to ALU’s comprehensive safeguarding policy, maintaining a zero-tolerance approach to any violations of safeguarding standards.
REQUIREMENTS
- Accounting related degree and/or at least level 1 of ACCA/CPA (or any other equivalent qualification)
- Basic understanding of finance process
- Good communication skills
- Knowledge of G-Suite, Excel and Accounting software would be a definite advantage.
- Proactive, good communicator and self-starter
- Ability to work in diverse teams and under tight deadlines.
