Agoda’s Legal team is well suited to take on the challenges presented, adopting a proactive mindset to tackle challenges and solve problems. The Opportunity:

The Global technology environment is changing at a speed never seen before and while this poses a significant challenge for global businesses such as ours to keep up with the laws, it also presents a great opportunity for you to be a part of a global team directly contributing to build the trust of our users, employees, and partners at Agoda.

As a Data Privacy and AI Analyst in our Privacy, AI, and Cybersecurity Legal Team, you will support Agoda’s Privacy and AI Governance programs and advisory function by working with a world-class team comprising subject matter experts in data privacy, responsible AI, and Cybersecurity in a global work environment.

While initially, this is a 12-month contract role, the contract can be extended based on performance & requirements.

In this role, you’ll get to: 

  • Review & maintain policies, processes, and tools supporting Privacy & AI Governance Program
  • Lead training & awareness initiatives
  • Undertake Privacy & AI risk management/advisory initiatives, including regulatory change management activities, supporting privacy & AI risk assessments.
  • Upkeep, maintain, and improve privacy and AI controls
  • Improve privacy & AI Governance program using data analytics (Metrics, Key Risk Indicators, Dashboards, Trend analysis)
  • Provide project management support for specific privacy & AI Governance projects

What You'll Need to Succeed:

  • Foundational Knowledge: An interest in Data Privacy and AI Governance principles, with a willingness to learn about key Data Privacy Laws and frameworks such as GDPR, PDPA, AI Verify, and NIST.
  • Educational Background: A degree in law, risk management, or a related field is preferred but not required if you have relevant experience or a strong interest in these areas.
  • Proactive Attitude: A motivated, "All-Star" approach to achieving goals and completing tasks efficiently.
  • Continuous Learner: A growth mindset committed to ongoing learning and self-improvement.
  • Language Proficiency: Strong command of the English language, both written and verbal.
  • Technical Skills: Familiarity with the Microsoft Office suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, or a willingness to quickly learn these tools.

It’s Great if you Have:

  • Passion for data privacy & technology
  • 1 year or more of real-life work experience in Data Privacy, AI Governance, or related Risk or Compliance disciplines
  • Good knowledge of Privacy Laws & frameworks (GDPR, PDPA, AI Verify, NIST, etc)
  • Ability to execute at pace and multi-task in an agile environment
