The Opportunity:

You will play a critical role in helping our leaders grow Agoda Flights, and contribute to taking this business from being a new vertical to becoming the core of our day to day at Agoda.

An ideal candidate for Manager, Sales and Operations is a dynamic problem-solver with a proven track record of identifying and addressing complex business and operational challenges that enhance efficiency and drive commercial growth. They should possess a strategic mindset that allows them to analyze detailed operational issues while maintaining a broad perspective on how these issues impact the overall business. This role requires a deep understanding of operations, data analysis, internal products, processes, and flows while ability to see how things are inter-connected and linked back to commercial success. The ideal candidate should be skilled in stakeholder management and cross-function collaboration, capable of leading complex projects to successful completion. Adaptability, a results-oriented approach, continuous improvement mindset, and a strong operational background are essential traits for success in this role.

Key responsibilities:

  • Analyze (often ambiguous, unstructured) operational and business problems to identify areas for commercial growth, efficiency gains, and cost reduction.
  • Use data analytics and business intelligence to uncover trends, drive decision-making, and identify growth opportunities.
  • Collaborate with Country Directors, Marketing, Product, and Finance teams to understand their needs and align operational strategies to support commercial goals.
  • Develop and execute to completion complex improvement initiatives to realize commercial uplifts.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including Commercial, Product, Marketing, and Finance, to ensure alignment and effective execution of improvement projects.
  • Create and maintain documentation related to operational processes and improvements.
  • Present findings and recommendations to senior management, providing clear and concise reports.
  • Act as a versatile resource within our Agoda Flight team, establishing yourself as a trusted expert that all departments can depend on.

What you will need to succeed:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Operations Management, Data Analytics, or a related field.
  • 5-7 years of experience in operational excellence, business analysis, or a similar role focused on commercial growth.
  • Proficiency in SQL, data analysis, and/or business intelligence tools, with a track record of using data to drive commercial outcomes.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a strategic mindset, able to connect operational changes to business results.
  • Ability to make sense of complex operational processes, internal technical processes and flows and connect the dot back to commercial impact.
  • Great communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to communicate complex concepts and present progresses, findings to stakeholders at all levels.
  • Experience leading cross-functional projects and collaborating with teams across the organization.
  • Ability to learn fast and understand new business dynamics.
