We are seeking a Manager/Senior Manger position in our Strategic Partnerships department to support the direction and growth of Travel Distribution (B2B) partnerships. In this role, you will be actively innovating and supporting Central Team initiatives across Agoda’s core markets.
You will need to bring a strong leadership and analytical acumen coupled with operations and project management knowledge, attention to details and strive for efficiency, coupled with the ability to develop, mentor newer team members and influence cross-functional teams.
Main goals are to achieve profitability growth through a wide array of optimization projects, and to initiate changes that will impact our operational efficiency. The focus is to support and improve the core functions of business to business (B2B) travel distribution vertical, which ensures best accommodation supply is available to our strategic partners and their customers.
The core functions of B2B Travel Distribution vertical include:
- revenue optimization initiatives
- credit risk management
- operations
- project management,
- Primary stakeholders: Commercial partnership managers, finance, product, legal and others.
Key Responsibilities:
- Contribute towards building and enhancing the accommodation inventory distribution, pricing framework , credit management , and other central team functions for Agoda’s B2B business
- Develop insights on price sensitivity and growth opportunities for B2B via pricing, work with product and data science to build advanced pricing & distribution features
- Autonomously design, and execute team-wide process improvements and share data-driven learnings to create frameworks and scale it to improve performance and efficiency
- Extract and explore data sets to analyze and interpret trends/ patterns and identify opportunities for growth and loss prevention
- Successfully manage and influence key stakeholders such as markets and support them to drive profitable growth of the Strategic Partnerships Travel Distribution business globally.
- Work with cross functional teams to ensure Agoda’s partner centric core values are maintained and enhanced.
- Identify business needs and drive development of features, vision, and deals that can be experimented to promote scalability
What You’ll Need to Succeed:
Qualifications/Experience
- 5+ years’ experience in analytical focused business strategy or project management roles in fast paced consumer tech environment, preferably in travel or B2B data driven tech organization.
- Ability to clearly define and communicate process flow and business cases for functional implementations.
- Highly organized and comfortable with making prioritization decisions, and ability to effectively keep track of moving parts across projects and adapt to new information and goals.
- Self-starter who can collaborate with various cross functional teams to relentlessly drives growth and push projects forward.
- Demonstrated ability to influence and build relationships with people across all levels and organizations.
- Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field.
Competencies/Skills
- Competent with problem solving with a strong analytical skills and comfort with transforming data into insights
- Hands-on experience of data pulling (SQL), visualization, processing(Excel) tools (R/Python good to have)
- Ability to adapt and drive results in a transformational / change management environment.
- Strong communication skills with fluency in English (written & spoken)
- Result focused and good team player
