The Difference You Will Make: 

The Airbnb Community Support (CS) team is a global business unit that provides support to our Community of millions of guests and hosts who take trips and join experiences around the world every year.  Within CS, the Platform and Experience team is responsible for the product and technology that enables an intelligent, scalable and exceptional service experience. 

The Internal Platform and Configuration team is looking for a Tech Enablement Lead, who will be responsible for leading a team of specialists to ensure that our technical deliveries perform to a high standard and deliver easy, intuitive, and preferred support for our Community.

As the Tech Enablement Lead, you will be directly contributing to  scaling our Community Support operations team by giving our guest and host community what they want - integrated and seamless solutions . You will lead a world class team responsible for user acceptance testing of CS products and the planning and coordination for human-in-the loop AI annotation..  This is a highly cross functional senior management role, and you will act as a close partner and leader to Product managers, engineering, Quality engineering and Operations,

A Typical Day: 

  • Develop the vision and strategy, and build consensus on the roadmap and prioritization to drive user testing execution 
  • Overseeing CS product testing strategy and execution
  • Develop key interdependent roadmap sequencing and plans in support of Support Product leadership
  • Build, mentor, and lead a world-class team
  • Challenge the status quo and inspire people toward quality first testing and planning approach
  • Create clear and measurable objectives and key results for the team 
  • Efficiently execute to ship product and deliver impact for our business and users while driving business impact through significant leverage
  • Lead large, cross-functional groups of people to deliver on the team’s mission. Communicate concisely and influence outcomes in a data-driven and objective way
  • Work closely with all business, ops, technology and product stakeholders to ensure successful end-to-end user journey delivery of your team’s self-service experiences 
  • Build alignment across business and platform product teams, cross-functional partners (CS Operations, Payments, Trust, FP&A, etc.) and the Leadership / Executive team
  • Be a key contributor to the Community Support Products leadership team

Your Expertise: 

  • 10+ years of product testing / planning experience 
  • 5+ years experience in a management role with direct reports 
  • Compassionate people leader with a vision who inspires those around to bring the best version of themselves
  • Proven track record of translating customer needs into product test plans
  • Understanding of customer transactions and communication, operational workflows, internet technologies, as well as development methodology for a complex global multi-business environment
  • Exceptional communication skills at all levels, from individual and team-level, up to C-suite. 
  • Highly collaborative and comfortable executing in a cross-functional, matrixed organization
  • Ability to orchestrate across teams, both yours and others’, to build and execute complex business plans and strategies
  • Experience in operating in global environments across cultures, locations, and time zones
  • A Community-first user-centric mindset
  • Highly analytical and comfortable making data-driven decisions while balancing the right approach for our Community
  • Familiarity with data science, analytics and machine learning concepts
  • Demonstrated track record of product testing / planning leadership.  Ability to lead and influence teams
  • Ability to quickly absorb technical concepts and communicate them to a non-technical audience
  • Experience working with a customer service team and/or operations team is a big plus

This position is US - Remote Eligible. The role may include occasional work at an Airbnb office or attendance at offsites, as agreed to with your manager. How We'll Take Care of You:

Our job titles may span more than one career level. The actual base pay is dependent upon many factors, such as: training, transferable skills, work experience, business needs and market demands. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. This role may also be eligible for bonus, equity, benefits, and Employee Travel Credits.
