Our Delivery team at AKQA sets the approach and standard for project delivery and governance, ensuring that clients maximise their return on investment. Responsible for team performance, they provide team members with the tools, support and training essential to delivering the most effective result possible.  

The Project Coordinator supports senior Delivery team members with studio management and project advancement. They manage project schedules and handle client communications as required. Acting as a bridge between project teams and clients, they contribute to the success of projects by building trust and fostering effective team communication.

As a member of AKQA Tokyo, you will join a dynamic and innovative team. With the support of senior members of the Delivery team, you will contribute to market-leading experiences for both Japanese and international markets.

 

ROLE REQUIREMENTS

  • Support the successful progression and execution of projects, facilitating seamless project operations, scheduling key stakeholder meetings and collaborating  with senior colleagues to manage client expectations. 
  • Act as a bridge between clients and internal teams, promoting trust and service excellence by demonstrating effective communication. 
  • Conduct effective facilitation during internal project meetings to support efficient decision-making processes and project progression. 
  • Support the setup and management of governance frameworks, tools, and environments at a project’s inception. 
  • Assist in resource management and project financial management for the project team. 
  • Provide support in the preparation and drafting of project-related contracts. 
  • Assist with the creation of documents and estimates for proposal activities. 
  • Offer communication support for English-speaking team members. 
  • Maximise the use of AKQA’s project delivery framework to drive project success.

 

QUALIFICATIONS & CHARACTERISTICS

  • Experience in project management, such as working in a PMO/Delivery role, or equivalent.
  • Work experience with solution providers such as design studios, software companies, advertising agencies, or consulting firms.
  • Strong negotiation skills and documentation abilities.
  • Strong commercial competency.
  • Native-level proficiency in Japanese.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Experience creating WBS and Gantt charts. 

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Business-level proficiency in English conversation. 
  • Experience collaborating with global teams. 
  • Experience in invoice processing and contract creation. 
  • Experience in creating Gantt charts. 
  • Experience in task management using tools like JIRA and participating in projects utilising Agile frameworks.
