As a Senior UI Designer, you will play an essential role in the strategy, conception, and design of visually compelling digital products and services. You will bring exceptional creative thinking and high-quality design execution, developing and delivering projects from brief to end user while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.

• Deliver and inspire award-winning work, both individually and as part of a team, influencing change through ideas, creativity, and interactive media.
• Conceptualize and translate strategy into scalable, interactive experiences for web (.com) and apps, ensuring innovative and engaging digital interactions.
• Think beyond traditional UI, bringing a deep understanding of experience design and digital ecosystems.
• Live and breathe interaction and motion, ensuring that motion principles and micro-interactions are considered from the start of the design process.
• Translate brand identity into systematic, ownable, and scalable digital experiences.
• Demonstrate profound expertise in Figma and design systems, creating modular and reusable UI components.
• Deliver responsive and systematic designs through an agile methodology, ensuring seamless cross-platform experiences.
• Collaborate with peers and clients in a positive and strategic manner, co-designing solutions that meet business objectives.
• Be client-facing, presenting creative work confidently to internal and client stakeholders while acting as the creative lead on accounts.
• Define, facilitate, and oversee design processes across different workstreams, from conceptual design vision to final development.
• Contribute to pitches and new business opportunities, showcasing conceptual strength and technical expertise.
• Own and manage projects with some oversight from a Creative Director, ensuring the delivery of high-quality creative output that meets AKQA’s standards of excellence.
• Mentor and share knowledge with mid and junior designers, fostering a culture of creativity and learning.
• Stay up to date with the latest design and technology trends, integrating cutting-edge innovations into your work.

QUALIFICATIONS AND CHARACTERISTICS

• A compelling portfolio showcasing exceptional conceptual thinking, design aesthetics, and art direction across a variety of mediums and industries.
• Strong visual storytelling and a keen eye for detail, ensuring a high level of craft and execution in all work.
• Proficiency in branding methodologies and design thinking, with the ability to create cohesive and scalable brand-driven digital experiences.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to articulate creative decisions and engage stakeholders in the design process.
• Passion for innovation, consistently pushing boundaries and striving for world-class creative solutions.
• Extensive experience with Adobe Creative Cloud, Figma, and Keynote, with a deep understanding of design systems and prototyping.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively, managing multiple projects with efficiency and precision.
• A degree in Design, Interaction Design, Visual Studies, or a related field is preferred; an art background is a plus.
