The Role

Customer data presents unique challenges, and when used effectively, it offers unparalleled value. At Amperity, brands leverage our platform to address these challenges and unlock transformative opportunities.

We are seeking a Business Value Consultant to drive clarity and alignment around the value of modern strategies for organizing, connecting, and leveraging customer data assets. This role will lead cross-functional efforts to define Amperity’s primary value drivers, build business value assets, and support teams and customers in creating impactful business cases and ROI analyses.

Interesting Problems

  • Define and Develop Value Frameworks:
    • Build Amperity’s Business Value Point of View (POV) and align internal stakeholders on key value drivers and use cases.
    • Create business case templates, ROI calculators, and supporting assets that clearly communicate the financial and strategic impact of using Amperity.
    • Define repeatable, scalable business case and ROI processes to be used across the organization.
  • Enablement for Teams and Customers:
    • Equip account and field teams with the knowledge, tools, and training to articulate business value effectively.
    • Develop enablement content and sessions that uplevel client-facing teams, ensuring clarity on leveraging business value assets and processes.
  • Customer and Prospect Engagement:
    • Partner with existing customers to develop business value cases tied to their current and future use of Amperity.
    • Collaborate with prospective customers and sales teams to create tailored business cases and ROI workshops that showcase the potential impact of adopting Amperity.
  • Deliverables and Impact:
    • Build and evolve cohesive Amperity Business Value framework and supporting tools (e.g., business case templates, ROI calculators).
    • Lead Value Engagements with customers and prospects to communicate value potential and align customer executive teams.
    • Lead Value Engagements with existing customers to help quantify value realized.
    • Explore and acquire Value Selling tools to improve the scale of BVS activities and impact.
    • Embed value measurement processes within the Amperity Customer Success Team.
    • Create enablement content that empower teams to communicate business value effectively.

About You

  • Experience: 10+ years in SaaS-related value consulting roles, ideally with expertise in data platforms, data-driven marketing, or customer data strategies.
  • Strategic Thinking: Ability to identify valuable new insights from disparate sources of data and to create new strategic frameworks to define challenges and solutions.
  • Project Leadership: Ability to drive project success with a cross-functional team and multiple customer stakeholders.
  • Analytical Skills: Proven experience in financial modeling, ROI analysis, and building both qualitative and quantitative business cases.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across teams.
  • Story-Telling: Ability to drive a customer conversation from solutions to outcomes to emotional connection.
  • Technical Aptitude: Strong understanding of data engineering, data platforms, customer data, and data driven business strategies.
  • Mindset: A curious self-starter with a growth mindset, comfortable building processes and tools from scratch.
  • Collaboration: A detail-oriented, organized team player who thrives in cross-functional environments.

Location 

We have a hybrid work model for employees based in Seattle, WA, and New York, NY, with three days in the office days each week, providing a mix of in-person collaboration and remote flexibility

We will also consider fully remote in CA, CO, FL, GA, IL, IN, MA, MN, NJ, OH, OR, and TX

Compensation

Base Salary:  $154,000 - $210,000. Within our pay range, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications such as skills, experience, and education/training. 

Cash Incentives: Cash incentives are also available.

Stock Options:  The opportunity for ownership is an exciting part of Amperity’s total compensation package. Every employee at Amperity receives a new-hire equity grant, commensurate with the scope of their position.
