The Role:
Reporting to the Global Head of Brand and Content, the Social Media Manager will be an essential member of the Global Marketing & Communications team. This role will have a particular focus on social and video content, playing a key part in shaping Antler’s global digital presence across platforms, especially YouTube, LinkedIn, and other social channels. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of social media video trends, video editing expertise, and a talent for creating visually compelling thumbnails and collateral that drive engagement.
This role is for someone who lives and breathes social media, understands the power of video to captivate audiences, and is ready to make a measurable impact in the global startup space.
Key Responsibilities:
- Social Media Video Strategy & Execution:
- Develop and implement a video-first social media strategy, focusing on YouTube and LinkedIn as key platforms.
- Create, edit, and optimize engaging video content tailored to different platforms and audiences.
- Design eye-catching thumbnails, reels, and other visuals to maximize video performance.
- Collaborate with global and local marketing teams to source, produce, and repurpose content that resonates with target audiences.
- Organic Social Media Management:
- Oversee day-to-day management of Antler’s global social media presence, ensuring consistency across platforms.
- Work closely with local teams to identify and amplify shareable stories from across the business.
- Manage content calendars, A/B test creative and messaging, and contribute to communication efforts when needed.
- Track performance metrics and report on insights to inform and refine strategies.
- Growing LinkedIn Presence:
- Build and execute a strategy to grow Antler’s LinkedIn channel, increasing reach, engagement, and influence.
- Leverage platform-specific tools and insights to drive high-performing campaigns on LinkedIn.
- Identify trends and opportunities to position Antler as a thought leader in the startup and VC space.
- Training & Best Practices:
- Be a go-to expert for social media best practices, especially video-driven strategies, and provide ongoing training and documentation for local markets.
- Share insights on emerging trends, platform updates, and creative innovations that can drive performance.
Requirements:
- 3–5 years of experience in social media management, with a demonstrable track record on video content and strategy.
- Proficiency in video editing and graphic design tools (e.g., Canva, Photoshop).
- Proven experience managing YouTube channels
- Solid understanding of social media platforms, especially LinkedIn, YouTube, Instagram, and TikTok
- Strong analytics skills, with experience using tools like Hootsuite, Google Analytics, LinkedIn Insights, and YouTube Studio.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, international environment, collaborating across time zones.
