Consulting Practice Manager

As a Consulting Practice Manager within the Aptos Professional Services team and reporting to the VP Professional Services, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day workload of the EMEA & APAC Consulting team and providing them with delivery, process, technical and performance guidance. This role also requires you to work closely with the sales team and participate in discovery and planning discussions with customers to fully understand their needs. These discussions may be of a technical or commercial nature, depending on the target audience.

We work in a great spirit of internal collaboration and are looking for people who enjoy this type of working atmosphere, but who are also very independent and take initiative when needed.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Manage the day-to-day workload of the EMEA & APAC consulting team.
  • Work closely with the sales team and potential customers to understand requirements.
  • Maintain, build, improve and promote the capability and reputation of the team both internally and externally.
  • Ensure achievement of Professional Services KPI's.
  • Participate in estimating scope of work for consulting & implementation tasks/projects.
  • Collaborate internally and with partners on technical design and project implementation.
  • Assume responsibility for all aspects of the technical delivery, including the design of end-to-end standard and custom architecture solutions.
  • Provide technical guidance to the team.
  • Work with project managers, product team, business and technical analysts.
  • Perform reviews, including concepts and code, to ensure the team and consultants deliver to quality expectations.
  • Troubleshoot and classify design and technical issues in development and production.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree - Computer science or software engineering.
  • Previous knowledge and experience of managing and leading consultants and implementation specialists.
  • Knowledge of SQL , VisualBasic, .NET, AWS, AWS tools, etc.
  • Good knowledge of architecture/API styles (REST, RPC).
  • Understanding of agile methodologies.
  • Experience working for and with SaaS software providers.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrate organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Motivated by process improvement: There's always a better way of doing things: you have a knack for finding it and implementing it.
  • Experience in retail software implementation.

Assets that give you an edge:

  • Previous management experience: your interactions with management and executives will often require specific skills, including negotiation and influencing, in relation to certain business issues.
  • Experience of creating world class consulting teams / practice.
  • Previous experience with specific Aptos products.
