Aurora hires talented people with diverse backgrounds who are ready to help build a transportation ecosystem that will make our roads safer, get crucial goods where they need to go, and make mobility more efficient and accessible for all. We’re looking for a dynamic and results-driven Sales Manager to help drive activity through our sales pipeline. As a Sales Manager, you will be responsible for creating leads and converting them to opportunities and ultimately closed accounts consistent with Aurora’s sales strategy. You will work closely with internal stakeholders to transition accounts to the customer success team in support of hitting our revenue goals.
In this role, you will:
- Sales Strategy & Execution: Contribute to the development and implementation of effective sales strategies to achieve revenue goals within the freight vertical.
- Lead Generation & Pipeline Management: Identify potential customers, generate leads, and manage opportunities through the sales funnel.
- Customer Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with freight carriers and other stakeholders in the logistics industry.
- Product Knowledge & Demonstrations: Present and demonstrate our product to potential customers, and highlight how it addresses their specific pain points.
- Negotiation & Closing Deals: Lead contract negotiations and close sales deals
- Collaboration with Internal Teams: Work closely with marketing, product, and customer success teams to refine sales messaging and ensure customer satisfaction.
- Market Insights & Competitive Analysis: Stay up-to-date on industry trends, competitors, and customer needs to enhance sales strategies.
- Reporting & Forecasting: Provide regular sales performance reports, pipeline forecasts, and insights to leadership.
Required Qualifications
- Experience: 5+ years of B2B sales experience, preferably in the freight and logistics sector.
- Track Record of Success: Proven ability to meet or exceed sales targets and drive revenue growth.
- Industry Knowledge: Understanding of freight logistics, transportation management, and industry challenges.
- Strong Communication & Negotiation Skills: Ability to effectively articulate value propositions and close deals.
- CRM Proficiency: Experience with Salesforce (preferred), HubSpot, or similar sales tools for pipeline management and reporting.
- Adaptability & Problem-Solving: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and adjust sales strategies as needed.
- Self-Motivated & Results-Driven: Passion for sales and a proactive approach to achieving business goals.
The base salary range for this position is $129,000-$207,000 per year. Aurora’s pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, the successful candidate’s starting base pay will be determined based on factors including job-related skills, experience, qualifications, relevant education or training, and market conditions. These ranges may be modified in the future. The successful candidate will also be eligible for an annual bonus, equity compensation, and benefits.
