Qualification, Experience and Competencies
• National Certificate (N4-N6) in Machining/Mechanical Engineering or a relevant trade qualification (Automotive Machinist)
• 5+ years of experience in Crankshaft Grinding and machining
• Proficiency in precision crankshaft grinding and other machining operations (grinding, polishing, milling, drilling)
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and drawings in both metric and imperial measurements
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve machining problems
• Class B driver's license
• Experience in the mining or heavy equipment industry (desirable)
• Familiarity with Caterpillar equipment and reusability guidelines (desirable)
• Used part inspection and evaluation skills (desirable).
