Machine pricing is the foundational requirement for all sales transactions and quotations and is a key driver for the Barloworld Equipment profitability. The role is responsible for the integrity of pricing mechanisms and to ensure that the various pricing mechanisms function in accordance with our business pricing strategy. i.e. Agreed contractual vendor pricing, inventory cost build up and supports project specific and retail pricing.

• Ensure that all machine pricing strategies are facilitated and executed

• Development and implementation of all machine pricing processes

• Ensure that the highest level of sustainable transactional efficiencies is in place

• Ensure machine master data is up to date

• Ensure supplier (Caterpillar) price files are maintained and implemented

• Reporting of Machine pricing analysis and impact of price changes

• Facilitate the review of cost pricing

• Support function to the group for machine pricing related matters

• Support Sales Admin and pricing teams with compliance with machine pricing processes

• Ensure consistent alignment with the principle global pricing structure.

• Identification and implementation of processes that drive efficiency and cost containment reducing or eliminating waste in the process.

• Support regional teams in customer facing pricing where required.

• Implement and review pricing structures for the benefit of the customer and Barloworld Equipment

• Communicate machine price changes to business

• Assess, motivate and adjust cost build-up factors for Barloworld Equipment in collaboration with the various teams in the different regions.

• Review the reasonability of cost build up

• Maintain accurate standard Master Price file and related reporting.

• Work with Sales support and Mining LOB team to optimize standard configurations and pricing support.

• Assist Sales Support with developing a customer price list.

• Work with ePMO Team to support future live pricing systems.

Qualification, Experience and Competencies

Minimum Required Qualification

• Relevant B Degree / Diploma (Financial / Commerce / Supply Chain) and/or extensive experience in field

Minimum Required Experience

• Five to Ten years’ experience in the business process environment
• (Supply Chain / Sales Admin / Pricing)
• Experience working in a matrix organisation.
• Experience in advanced MS office, primarily Excel
• Sound knowledge of Barloworld Equipment SAP systems and processes
• Knowledge of Caterpillar machines and product structures.
• Strong financial understanding,
• Knowledge of machine Import / export requirements.
