Key Output

• Manage and maintain induction process and procedures. Ensure all Barloworld Equipment employees fully understand the requirements of health, safety and environmental legislation

• Work with SHEQ personnel to ensure implementation of all current SHEQ legislation

• Assist in the administration of SHEQ related matters

• Ensure all SHEQ related databases are maintained to required standards and that meet audit requirements

• Collate and report on site SHEQ statistics and ensure data integrity (Credit 360)

• Assist with internal and external training programs and the execution thereof

• Assist with normal office duties and requirements

• Ensure the administration required is delivered effectively

• Manage PPE for SHEQ department

• Provide assistance on SHEQ issues to make recommendations to facilities management

• Participate in detailed incident and customer complaints investigation and Root Course analysis

• Maintain positive proactive relations with managers and employees, as well as our customers,

contractors and regulatory agencies

• Co-ordinate and set up SHEQ related meetings

• Update, implement, and manage SHEQ programs, assist in report preparation and data gathering

• Perform Effluent Water Discharge sampling and document events

• Maintain the access control system (Medical, induction & legal expiry dates)

• Manage regional safety, legal compliance and contactor site files

• Manage Incident safety/monthly reporting/ medical safety/legal appointments/meeting scheduling and minutes/general administration

Qualification, Experience and Competencies

• Grade 12 certification

• Computer Literate

• SAP proficiency

• Good Financial acumen

• SHEQ related training

• Practical knowledge of SHEQ management systems (ISO 9001, 14001 & 45001)

• Contractor management experience

• Good communication Skills

• Good customer and employee relations ,Legal compliance auditing experience

• At least two years in a risk management environment

• Ability to develop and communicate in-house training and correspondence around ethics

and compliance initiatives

• Ability to identify legal issues and legal risk

• Demonstrate ability to use legal principles and concepts to the benefit of the business to

reach commercial business objectives

• Demonstrate understanding of impact of legislation on the business and its operations

• General understanding of commercial and credit risk

• Excellent written and oral communication skills, including reporting (drafting and
