Key Output
• Ensuring a safe and healthy working environment that complies with current health and safety legislation for all BWE employees
• Ensure all BWE employees in area of responsibility fully understand the requirements of existing health and safety legislation
• Investigate and report on all work-related injuries and vehicle road accidents
• Audit relevant BWE sites and prepare the MARSH Stars report
• Maintain/Control Contamination standards for area of responsibility
• Conduct regular on-site appraisals of premises and housekeeping, electrical, mechanical and personal safe guards, fire protection and security standards;
Qualification, Experience and Competencies
• Grade 12 with a technical background
• At least 2 years’ experience in health and safety management
• Sound knowledge of health and safety legislation
• SAMTRAC or equivalent certification
• Computer literate (Sound knowledge of MS office)
• Drivers licence – Code B
• Analytical ability, Judgement and decision-making
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
• Assertiveness ,Investigative orientation (probing / information seeking)
• Effective interpersonal relationships
