BAYADA Hospice is hiring a per diem Nurse Practitioner, (NP) to join our Fayetteville, NC team. The coverage area for this position includes the following counties:

  • Hoke, Bladen, Harnett, Moore, Robeson, Cumberland and Sampson (compensation package includes mileage reimbursement)

Prior hospice or palliative care experience strongly preferred, but not required. As a hospice nurse NP, you will be an integral member of a multi-disciplinary health care team that provides palliative care to clients, affording them the opportunity to receive the medical care required to remain at home. 

Nurse Practitioner (NP) Responsibilities:

  • Making home face to face hospice recertification visits to clients in designated geographic territories.
  • Monitoring clients' conditions; reporting changes to Clinical or Client Services Manager.
  • Following up with, executing, and properly documenting doctors' orders.
  • Performing client assessments as necessary.
  • Re-evaluating continued need for hospice services.
  • Reviewing care charts.
  • Providing pain management.

Qualifications for a Nurse Practitioner (NP):

  • A current license as a NP in NC.
  • A minimum of one year of recent, verifiable clinical (medical/surgical) experience.
  • Prior hospice and/or palliative care experience strongly preferred, but not required.
  • Solid computer skills; prior experience with electronic medical records (EMR) preferred.
  • Ability to travel to cases as assigned.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
