BAYADA Hospice is hiring a per diem Nurse Practitioner, (NP) to join our Fayetteville, NC team. The coverage area for this position includes the following counties:
- Hoke, Bladen, Harnett, Moore, Robeson, Cumberland and Sampson (compensation package includes mileage reimbursement)
Prior hospice or palliative care experience strongly preferred, but not required. As a hospice nurse NP, you will be an integral member of a multi-disciplinary health care team that provides palliative care to clients, affording them the opportunity to receive the medical care required to remain at home.
Nurse Practitioner (NP) Responsibilities:
- Making home face to face hospice recertification visits to clients in designated geographic territories.
- Monitoring clients' conditions; reporting changes to Clinical or Client Services Manager.
- Following up with, executing, and properly documenting doctors' orders.
- Performing client assessments as necessary.
- Re-evaluating continued need for hospice services.
- Reviewing care charts.
- Providing pain management.
Qualifications for a Nurse Practitioner (NP):
- A current license as a NP in NC.
- A minimum of one year of recent, verifiable clinical (medical/surgical) experience.
- Prior hospice and/or palliative care experience strongly preferred, but not required.
- Solid computer skills; prior experience with electronic medical records (EMR) preferred.
- Ability to travel to cases as assigned.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
