Client Onboarding Associate

 BBR Partners is a rapidly growing company providing investment and wealth management services to high-net-worth individuals and families.  The firm was originally founded in early 2000 and now manages over $25 billion in assets.   

BBR is currently seeking a Client Onboarding Associate.  This position requires a detail-oriented approach to ensure that our reporting, databases, and ongoing processes are accurately maintained. Key responsibilities include preparing client paperwork, performing data governance, and inputting and monitoring client information across various internal systems. The ideal candidate is client-service minded, exceptionally organized, and independently driven.    

Responsibilities: 

  • Provide top quality service to clients for complete administration of their financial accounts.
  • Develop a comprehensive and demonstrated knowledge of our overall process and operating model; feel comfortable offering suggestions and making improvements.
  • Supports the conversion of new client relationships and expansion of existing relationships by responding to questions regarding accounts, policies, and procedures. 
  • Set up new clients and investment accounts– draft letters, prepare client welcome packets, assist team in collecting and executing client and custodian paperwork.
  • Perform data governance checks to verify the integrity of our information on an ongoing basis and work with team to update information. 
  • Manage new client information within CRM, Portfolio Management, Website & Accounting Software.
  • Daily interaction with all areas and levels of firm’s management regarding client accounts.
  • Ensure project manager is frequently updated- highlight all potential risks with possible solutions in a timely manner and provide technical expertise to research and resolve discrepancies.
  • Prioritize and organize workflow, as well as corroborate all facets of the operation and administration of new client accounts to implement operational changes which streamline functions and ensure an optimal service environment and technology utilization. 
  • Assist with establishing online access for statements, confirms, proxy materials and other services. 

Preferred Skills & Experience: 

  • 1+ years of post-undergraduate relevant work experience ideally in client service within the financial sector.
  • Must be a team player and possess a client-first attitude.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks at once.  
  • Proven written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to adapt easily and learn new technologies/systems.
  • Knowledge of portfolio administration and brokerage systems or applications.
  • Experience working with private, high net-worth clients and/or institutional clients.  
  • Background in fund structures and investment types. 
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, CRM software, DocuSign, and Microsoft  
  • Proficiency in Portfolio Management Software such as Advent

Additional Information:

Base salary for this position will be determined during the interview process and will vary based on multiple reasons, including but not limited to prior experience, relevant expertise, current business needs, and market factors. The expected base salary for the role will generally be between $65,000 and $85,000 per year at the commencement of employment, but the final salary offered may be outside this range based on these reasons and individual circumstances. Additionally, base salary is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include discretionary bonuses, alternative incentive packages, commission eligibility, and Company-sponsored benefit programs. This position is at-will, and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
