What does the Marketing team look like?
The Marketing Team at Bench is a small and mighty group of experienced folks leading diverse parts of our growth initiatives – ranging from acquisition all the way through to retention and expansion. We have subject matter experts across a variety of domains, including SEO and Content, to Paid, CRO, Lifecycle, and Product Marketing. The team is highly collaborative and action-oriented, elevating each other and our collective work every single day. As a team, our ultimate goal is to deliver poignant stories and captivating experiences to small business owners to help fuel their success.
We’re seeking a Lifecycle Marketing Manager with a passion for crafting the ideal customer experience. In this role, you’ll apply your expertise in designing personalized, data-driven customer journeys, driving engagement, retention, and loyalty from acquisition through retention. Your main objective will be to create value-driven touchpoints and experiences that deliver meaningful outcomes for our customers. You’ll also enhance the in-product experience by developing highly contextual, automated communications that inspire action in the areas that matter most to our users.
What’s the role of a Growth Marketing Manager, Organic?
The Growth Marketing Manager, Organic will be accountable for leads generated via organic traffic. In this role, you’ll showcase a multi-dimensional skillset that goes beyond technical knowledge of SEO to establish yourself as a true subject matter expert. This includes excellent communication skills to facilitate collaboration with individuals both internal and external to Bench, strong writing and editing abilities, and a deep understanding of the pain points Bench is solving.
Your two closest partners will be our Marketing Communications Manager who will assist in the production of the SEO content in your content roadmap and our SEO agency partner who will assist with both content planning and technical SEO. While these partners will provide ongoing support, you will ultimately own the content strategy that helps Bench reach its exciting growth targets.
What you’ll get up to:
- Work closely with our SEO agency partner to create and execute a content strategy that is measured on its ability to generate leads via organic traffic
- Maintain a roadmap outlining the content required of your strategy that is informed by keyword research, industry trends and seasonality
- Measure and report on the performance of organic traffic as compared to forecasted targets
- Create SEO briefs that clearly articulate what each piece of content needs to include in order to attract small business owners who align with our ideal customer profile
- Forecast organic search targets in partnership with the SEO agency, Finance, Sales, and Marketing leadership
- Monitor the health of our blog (bench.co/blog) and marketing website (bench.co) through regular audits and prioritize technical and on-page SEO changes as needed
- Contribute to the success of seasonal marketing campaigns by identifying opportunities to contextually display promotional messaging to organic traffic
- Collaborate closely with our Sales and Service teams to ensure new clients acquired via organic traffic align with our ideal customer profile
To be successful in this role, you’ll need to have:
- 5+ years of experience in positions where you were accountable for revenue generated by organic traffic
- Experience with SEO tools such as Ahrefs and Semrush, analytics tools such as Google Analytics and Heap, and Content Management Systems such as Webflow
- Experience working closely with content production teams including writers, designers, and engineers
- An ability to systematically identify problems impacting growth via organic search and work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to implement solutions
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present to and work directly with senior leadership
- Experience writing and editing long-form SEO content
- A resourceful and fearless approach to your work. You default to action and are unafraid to take risks in the spirit of driving results and change.

What you'll get:
- This is a full time, 12 month contract position.
- The salary range for this role is $88,640-$115,232 per year, depending on experience.
