The Benefits Coordinator is an integral member of the Human Resources team and will provide support to the department with a variety of general benefits operations, as needed and directed for multiple entities. The Benefits Coordinator is primarily responsible for monitoring and maintaining all aspects of employee benefits as well as coordinating and tracking employee inquiries for benefits. This position will work closely with the Benefits Manager with benefits related inquiries and projects.
What you will do:
- Monitor the payroll and benefits inbox and respond to employee inquiries, escalating as needed
- Assist with coordinating and tracking employee leaves; including submitting employer verifications for claims to Voya, assigning leave policies in ADP, and sending benefit premium notices
- Assist with collections of benefits premiums for employees on leave
- Process new hire benefit enrollments and life event changes in ADP for employees
- Process evidence of insurability premium adjustments in ADP after provider approval
- Assist with dependent audit verification process including monthly data import and reporting of non-verified dependents.
- Review benefit file feed errors and discrepancies weekly
- Assist with monthly benefit billing review and reconciliation
- Respond to payroll and benefits mail such as medical support notices, state disability verifications, employment verifications, and other wage/insurance verifications
- Facilitate benefit presentations for new hires
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Who you are:
- Associates degree in a business field, i.e. Accounting, Finance, or Human Resources.
- 1-2 years of experience directly related to time management, payroll processing, and benefits administration.
- Comprehensive knowledge of payroll and benefits regulations and compliance
- Must have a high level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations and information.
- A strong analytical mindset and technology background that supports and measures best practices and achievement of company goals.
