This full-time position will report to our Director of Business Development Representatives and will be based remotely in the United States. 

 

Who You Are and What You’ll Do 

As a Business Development Representative (BDR) in our East Coast Team, you’ll be at the forefront of our customer relationships. Your mission is to connect with potential customers in a way that’s thoughtful, personalized, and truly resonates. Rather than focusing on quick wins, you’ll build strong, lasting relationships by understanding their unique needs and demonstrating how our solutions can help them achieve their goals. This is a role for someone who is not only results-driven but also passionate about creating value through every interaction.  

Responsibilities: 

  • Conduct Expert Client and Contact Research: Demonstrate ability to a operate as a research guru, digging deep to uncover valuable insights on potential clients, using all the tools and tricks to get a clear picture of their needs and how we can win them over!  
  • Tailored Outreach: Precision ABM/ABX (not spray and pray), engagement with prospects (and sometimes clients) through personalized communication strategies, whether it’s a thoughtful email, a well-timed call, a creative social media interaction, an invitation to events in local area (or follow up on an event), you’ll ensure every touchpoint feels relevant, meaningful and timely. 
  • Pipeline Generation: Work hand in hand with sales and marketing to develop and nurture relationships with potential customers, understanding their business challenges and aligning our solutions to meet their specific needs. You’ll approach each interaction with the goal of building trust and adding value. 
  • Lead Qualification: Listen to and assess the needs of prospects to determine how we can best support them. You’ll qualify for Enterprise AEs. 
  • Relationship Building: Leads not just by their immediate potential, but by their long-term fit with our offerings. 
  • Collaborative Engagement: Work closely with our sales and marketing teams to refine messaging, share insights, and ensure a seamless handoff of qualified leads. You’ll be an integral part of a collaborative effort to drive growth. 
  • Innovative Thinking: Constantly look for new ways to engage with prospects and differentiate our outreach. You’ll bring creativity and strategic thinking to how we approach potential customers. 
  • CRM Management: Keep detailed records of all interactions with prospects in our CRM, ensuring that each relationship is tracked, nurtured, and given the attention it deserves. 

Your Education and Experience 

In addition to the above, the following is a list of skills and traits that describe you. If you have most of these, we’d like to speak with you. 

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, communications, marketing, or related field is preferred.  
  • Enthusiasm and passion for thoughtful outreach, cybersecurity, and relationship building.  
  • Basic understanding of offensive security concepts is a plus.  
  • You bring 1+ years of experience as a BDR or in a similar role, where you’ve honed your skills in personalized outreach and relationship-based sales in an outbound sales motion.
