Blue Bottle Coffee is seeking a talented and passionate Supply Chain Manager to join our Blue Bottle Korea team. As the Supply Chain Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring operational excellence and enhancing Blue Bottle's ability to share delicious coffee experiences with more guests nationwide. Reporting to our Global Director of Supply Chain, this is a highly integrated and connected position, and you will bring your collaborative skills to ensure successful work with stakeholders across our Korean cafe, e-commerce and CPG channels. 

The Supply Chain group is a core part of our Operations organization, driving processes, key strategic initiatives and building the supply frameworks needed to execute our strategic plans. It focuses on ensuring we have the right things, in the right place, at the right time to help our teams succeed - all while striving for continuous process and economic improvement and maintaining exceptionally high quality.  This team is a vital operational heartbeat for Blue Bottle - come help us make it even better.

You will:

  • Oversee Blue Bottle Korea’s Supply Chain team, responsible for international import/export compliance, shipping coordination, and domestic operational execution
  • Lead, mentor and build a highly engaged and high-performing Supply Chain team
  • Source and build relationships with vendors and external partners; negotiating terms that optimize for company growth and profitability
  • Oversee procurement activities across categories within Korea, including the 3rd party customs agency, 3PL, co-manufacturers, distributors and suppliers to ensure that business needs are always met
  • Enable to manage end-to-end supply for Blue Bottle Korea’s Cafe, eCommerce and CPG by developing and implementing a robust and cost-effective warehousing, logistics, and fulfillment strategy
  • Plan regional demand and inventory levels, utilizing sales and stock data, promotional calendars, and various analytics to develop item-level forecasting to sustain multiple time horizons, products, and channels
  • Work closely with other departments to support cross-functional team needs; from monthly close activities with Accounting, to improving delivery schedules for Cafes, to sourcing third-party partners for local merchandise or packaged goods development
  • Identify and drive continuous improvement opportunities, developing solutions to reduce waste and improve cost efficiencies
  • Identify potential risks in the supply chain and develop contingency plans to mitigate them
  • You are:

  • Detail-oriented, comfortable synthesizing both quantitative and qualitative data to understand the bigger picture 
  • Able to anticipate and balance the needs to stakeholders to align towards a common goal 
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and confident in navigating decisions to move the organization forward 
  • Proactive and innovative, always looking improve and simplify processes
  • You have:

  • 7+ years of experience in Operations or Supply Chain; ideally with experience at a FMCG/Food & Beverage retail company
  • 2+ years of people management experience
  • Strong communication skills. Korean (native or near-native proficiency) and English (business-level)
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Experience with ERP systems (Netsuite preferred)
  • Understanding of local import regulations and Food Quality Control (preferred)
