Your Job:
The Production Planner plays a key role in the footwear production organization. As the Production Planner, you review the daily production output reports, commercialization schedules, monthly forecast and material status updates to ensure on-time delivery against committed Ex-Factory dates and product introduction dates.
Your Responsibilities:
Work with cross-functional teams to plan, analyze and manage production activities for multiple factories with in a factory group and multiple product lines across Vietnam.Actively participate in commercialization meetings to ensure production meets calendar deadlines and to flag any production issues and updates.Review production plan and schedule to ensure continuous manufacturing operations.Monitor the execution of production plan and identify and report on deviations. This includes:Monitor factory daily output and PO delivery schedule to ensure shipments meet XF date requirements. Follow up and coordinate with all related parties to resolve and/or communicate delivery issues.Communicate production status and error updates to management on regular basis.Review and analyze customer requirements and set production expectations.Evaluate issues, analyze root causes and derive solutions in collaboration with Senior Planner.Generate production reports for management and customers.Monitor and manage the availability of materials, tooling and resources in order to meet need dates and monthly forecast demand.Recommend improvements to maintain production integrity, consistency and quality.Respond to unforeseen changes in forecasts to provide guidance to key factories to remain financially viable during dramatic fluctuations in production demand.Collaborate with partner factories to acquire flex capacity /additional capacity.Collaborate with MSP team to improve the SRF and LRF data by assessing, analyzing and adjusting the preliminary forecast file before it is published to T1’s.Assign weekly PO placement capacity alignment of multi sourced styles.Provide support for our Digital Supply Planning system implementation which will connect our factories to a new system as part of Digitization initiative. Prepare tooling capacity analysis and coordinate style moves with Brooks MSP, Costing, Engineering, T1 and vendors.Other duties as assigned.Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management or related field and/or equivalent combination of education and experience.Minimum of 3 years of production/QA experience Fluent English communication skills (both speaking and writing). Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from their counterparts at US headquarters, cross-functional colleagues, factory partners, etc. Excellent written/verbal communication skillsOrganizational skills and a willingness to work in a team-oriented environmentProficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook.Strong knowledge of footwear production processDetail oriented with the ability to multi-taskAbility to lead and collaborate with internal/external teamsStrong logical thought process to identify root cause of issues. Proven track record of successful collaboration in global product development teams Strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills; must be extremely detail-oriented Must possess the ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced, team environment Strong organizational skills and independent work habits FlexPLM, MS Project, Illustrator experience a plus Knowledge of various planning systems, ERP, Lean, a plusAt Brooks, we celebrate diversity & equity.
