By combining top-notch bookkeeping and advisory skills with state-of-the-art technology, our team streamlines accounting processes, thus providing personalized solutions to address each client's unique needs.
 
We're on the hunt for a motivated Apprentice Bookkeeper to join our team, with a particular emphasis on providing transactional accounting services.

Requirements

  • Some experience with transactional accounting and familiarization with an accounting software platform (Example: QuickBooks Online).
  • Eagerness to expand knowledge and proficiency in accounting.
  • Some completion of college-level coursework in the field of accounting (completed degree is not required).
  • Strong inclination towards achieving the relevant certifications.
  • Some experience in an office environment will be beneficial.
  • Strong aptitude for written and verbal communication and willingness to leverage messaging and workflow applications in a professional setting.
  • Ability to adapt and learn various systems with a focus on QuickBooks Online (QBO).
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite, with a particular emphasis on Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Responsibilities

  • Assisting with accounts payable, customer invoicing, and bank reconciliations.
  • Preparing business compliance filings such as 1099’s, payroll, and sales tax.
  • Demonstrating a fundamental understanding of accounting practices.
  • Preparing and accurately documenting work papers.
  • Delivering high-quality work products in compliance with BPM’s policies.
  • Committing to deadlines and efficient communication.
  • Building effective team relationships and communicating the status of work clearly.
  • Embracing feedback and professionalism.
  • Exhibiting the understanding and empathy required as part of BPM's team dynamics.
