Position Overview:

Care.com is looking for a Safety Investigator to join the Trust & Safety Incident Response Team. This team is responsible for reviewing all reported safety incidents, conducting investigations on safety cases (including telephone communication), and supporting the security and safety of the Care Community.
What You’ll Do:
- Review safety cases, bans, appeals, and escalations
- Conduct thorough investigations, including root cause analysis, using email, phone, and support platforms
- Complete caseloads accurately and timely, adhering to service level and quality agreements
- Apply critical thinking, emotional intelligence, and problem-solving to navigate sensitive cases
- Analyze patterns and trends to identify new safety issues
- Collaborate with teams to research and recommend solutions to investigative matters
- Maintain professionalism and excellent customer service
- Identify, report, and help prioritize system bugs
- Act with a sense of urgency to ensure the complete, accurate, and timely completion of your caseload within strict service level and quality agreements
Who You Are:
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Ability to convey complex information clearly and quickly
- Detail-oriented and adaptable in a dynamic environment
- Comfortable viewing explicit content and handling sensitive issues
- Capable of building trust and relationships within a team, embodying Care's mission and values
- BA/BS (or pursuing a degree) in Criminal Justice, Sociology, Business, or Communications
- Experience in investigations (Law Enforcement, Claims Liability, Social Services), Crisis Management, or Sensitivity Training is a plus
- One year of experience handling high-priority issues like safety concerns, fraud, or critical incidents
- Virtual team experience is a plus

Hourly Rate: $22/Hr - Non Negotiable
The rate listed is just one component of Care.com’s total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include annual bonuses and short- and long-term incentives.
