About the team

Careem is looking for an experienced People Operations Specialist based in Riyadh to assist with our People Operations activities. Being part of Careem, you will be taking part in our People initiatives and supporting our growing family. The ideal candidate has willingness to work in fast-paced, dynamic environments and can help in supporting our rapid growth. We are seeking someone who can thrive in ambiguous situations, while fostering a collaborative, open, and fun culture. 

What you'll do

  • Assist in executing People Operations processes in KSA, including colleague lifecycle management, advisory support

  • Act as a key user and process expert for Governmental systems like Muqeem and GOSI, ensuring compliance and accuracy in all related operations.

  • Maintain KSA colleague data governance by supporting data practices, performing audits, and ensuring timely and accurate updates.

  • Handle operational processes like medical insurance updates (additions, deletions, amendments), as well as managing business and visit visas, work permits, residency, and other Governmental requirements.

  • Stay informed on labor law regulations and statutory requirements, communicating relevant updates to stakeholders and contributing to implementation plans.

  • Handle colleague onboarding by implementing effective workflows and communications.

  • Ensure compliance with relevant legal and organizational requirements, assist in preparing reports, and communicate updates effectively.

  • Act as an advocate for Careem’s shared values by embedding them into People Operations practices and processes throughout the colleague lifecycle.

What you'll need

  • Bachelor’s degree in HR Management, Business Management, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years in an HR generalist role, with some exposure to leadership responsibilities and Government Relations in KSA.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement, communication, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
  • Solid understanding of labor law practices in KSA.
  • Fluent in both Arabic and English (written and spoken).
