About the team/role
We are looking for a Deal Desk & Pricing Senior Analyst, Commercial to join the Financial Planning and Strategy team (FP&S). This person will be a critical teammate on a strong Deal Desk team that is driving tangible impact to our growing business daily. In this role, you will be a key driver of our pricing and discounting approach across the majority of our customer base. 

The ideal candidate has a highly analytical background and orientation for structured problem solving. Comfort working in a high-pace and ambiguous environment with a large number of cross-functional business partners (sales team) is important.

What you’ll do

  • Mid-Market & SMB Deals: Own pricing of our Mid-Market & Commercial deals. Collaborate with our Sales team daily to create deal structures that are a win-win for customers & Checkr. 
  • Enterprise Deals: Collaborate with a Deal Desk Sr. Manager to structure and price deals for our Enterprise customers. Build analysis that clarifies the profitability of these deals.
  • Analysis: Perform analysis that evaluates our performance in optimizing pricing and margins. Perform analysis that supports making improvements to our Discount Framework.
  • Process improvement: Have a keen eye for the big picture. Monitor and evaluate the efficiency/effectiveness of existing processes to proactively propose improvements.
  • Cross-Functional Communication: Create playbooks and recommendation memo’s that provide clarity on our processes and proposed changes.  Provide live and async updates to Leadership, the Sales team, and cross-functional teams (ie. RevOps, Revenue Systems, Accounting, etc).

What you bring

  • 4+ years in of experience in some combination of Investment Banking, Private Equity, Strategic Finance, Deal Desk, BizOps, or RevOps. Experience with B2B SaaS, especially usage-based business models or businesses that have real COGS, is a meaningful plus.
  • Well versed in working with ambiguous data to draw conclusions.
  • Open-minded and collaborative.  There is no single path towards a solution.  Our deal process is team sport.  
  • Experience with SQL, Looker, Salesforce is preferred.

The base salary range for this role is $118,975 to $139,971 in San Francisco, CA.
