Chewy is seeking a dynamic and strategic Director Hub Experiences & Facilities to join our team in Plantation, FL. Reporting to the Vice President, Operations, the role is responsible for leading and optimizing all aspects of facilities operations, hub management and maintenance programs to ensure hub efficiency. This role is responsible for planning, execution, and operational performance across multiple hub locations and is accountable for driving continuous improvement, cost efficiency, and workplace excellence. As part of this role the leader will oversee three key teams:

  • Community Experience Team – Ensuring a best-in-class workplace environment for all hub Team Members.
  • Hub Operations Team – Managing day-to-day operational efficiency, space utilization, and process optimization across all hubs.
  • Maintenance Programs & Initiatives – Driving strategic maintenance initiatives and ensuring compliance hubs.

This position requires a highly strategic, data-driven leader with strong expertise in facilities management, operations, and cross-functional collaboration.

What You’ll Do:

  • Develop and execute strategic plans for the facilities department aligned with the company's growth objectives and operational needs.
  • Oversee the day-to-day operations, maintenance, and safety of all hubs
  • Drive space optimization initiatives to enhance productivity, sustainability, and cost-efficiency across hubs.
  • Lead, develop, and manage the Community Experience, Hub Operations, and Maintenance Programs & Initiative teams to ensure best-in-class workplace management and operational efficiency.
  • Establish consistent standards with the team to ensure uniform coaching, accountability, and performance-based feedback for all Team Members.
  • Collaborate with safety and compliance teams to maintain high standards for regulatory compliance, workplace safety, and operational risk mitigation.
  • Drive preventative maintenance programs, ensuring efficient and cost-effective hub upkeep.
  • Partner with engineering, finance, procurement, safety, and AP teams to drive operational results and implement scalable solutions.
  • Work with business partners, HR, and leadership teams to align facilities operations with business objectives and team member engagement strategies.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with clients, vendors, and third-party service providers, ensuring adherence to performance agreements and quality standards.
  • Review activities, costs, operations, and forecast data to track department progress toward key goals.
  • Drive continuous improvement efforts, using data and analytics to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Lead and effectively present key insights to Senior Leadership, including monthly business reviews (MBR), financial reports, key performance metrics, and strategic initiatives.
  • Establish metrics and tracking systems to measure operational performance and find opportunities for further optimization.

What You’ll Need:

  • 12-15+ years of progressive experience in facilities management, operations, or a related field.
  • Proven track record of managing complex capital projects, real estate negotiations, and facility expansions.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments.
  • Strong knowledge of facilities management principles, compliance requirements, and reporting best practices.
  • Highly analytical with the ability to synthesize complex data into actionable business decisions.
  • Experience managing multiple properties and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated success in project management, budget oversight, and cost-reduction initiatives.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively communicate across all levels of the organization.

Preferred Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of building management, safety compliance, and facility sustainability programs.
  • Experience with advanced facility technologies, automation, and predictive maintenance tools.
  • Familiarity with workplace experience programs and employee engagement strategies.
  • Ability to develop and implement large-scale transformation projects within an operations environment.

Travel Requirement:

  • Approximately 15%-30% travel to fulfillment centers, hubs, and corporate locations.
