About the role
We are seeking an experienced professional to join our Enterprise Risk Management team as an Analyst, Enterprise Risk. This role requires expertise in operational risk and insurance, along with strong analytical skills. You will be part of Chime’s second line of defense risk management team and collaborate with internal teams and bank partners to execute and enhance operational risk management activities across the company. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem solver and change agent with a proven history of managing operational risks in large FinTechs or financial institutions.
The base salary offered for this role and level of experience will begin at $82,620.00 and up to $114,800.00. Full-time employees are also eligible for a bonus, competitive equity package, and benefits. The actual base salary offered may be higher, depending on your location, skills, qualifications, and experience.
In this role, you can expect to
- Develop and implement comprehensive operational risk management frameworks and policies.
- Team with first line of defense teams to conduct regular risk assessments and analysis to identify potential operational risks and control gaps.
- Collaborate with first line of defense teams to ensure effective risk management practices are in place and functioning properly.
- Aggregate, monitor and report on key risk indicators (KRIs) and operational risk events to senior management and relevant stakeholders.
- Provide guidance and training to internal teams on risk management processes and best practices.
- Support the design and execution of risk mitigation strategies and action plans to address identified risks.
- Assist in the procurement, renewal, and administration of corporate insurance policies, ensuring optimal coverage and cost efficiency.
- Liaise with insurance brokers and carriers to manage claims and ensure compliance with policy requirements and regulatory standards.
To thrive in this role, you have
- A bachelors degree in a field like Business, Risk Management, or related field.
- 2-4 years of experience in operational risk management, preferably within FinTech or financial institutions.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify, assess, and mitigate operational risks.
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements and industry best practices related to operational risk.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with internal teams and external partners.
- Proactive and self-motivated with a demonstrated ability to solve complex problems and drive change.
- Proficiency in risk management software and tools.
