The range for this role is $15.38 - 19.71

Actual base pay will be determined based on a successful candidate's work location, skills/abilities, experience, and education. This role includes opportunity to receive an annual bonus target of 5% of annual eligible earnings. Actual bonus amounts are determined by length of time in role, individual performance, and organizational performance.

Applicants must be willing and able to work onsite 3 days per week in our Melbourne, FL office.

The Job

Organize and work a large case load in accordance with the various established processes specific to: medical record, administrative, form, file, refund, and communication queues. Communicate internally required information via ministry systems. Review reports to determine and open cases that need to be worked by the Patient Advocates.


Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities

  • Correspond via written or verbal communication with Medi-Share staff to appropriately pass along necessary information
  • Effectively follow established processes/procedures
  • Forward and/or labeling incoming documentation (i.e. forms, authorizations, legal) when applicable – noting in case notes for reference
  • Send incoming communications (i.e. emails, faxes) – noting in case notes for reference
  • Handle multiple cases and document appropriate notes & status in billing system required (i.e. SalesForce, CSI)
  • Review reports to determine and open cases that need to be worked by the Patient Advocates
  • Assess cases within queues by sending to appropriate area to work/review
  • Keep leadership informed of high risk/high dollar cases
  • Contribute to the exercise and expression of Christian Care Ministry’s Christian beliefs
  • All other duties as assigned

Essential Skills & Abilities

  • Planning & Organizing Skills: Ability to work effectively without supervision.
  • Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to speak with associates of the organization.
  • Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute percent and to interpret bar graphs.
  • Computer Skills: Ability to use of the internet including e-mail and search engines, word processing and keyboard skills of at least 25 words per minute, ability to use a database system including how to update fields and basic knowledge of Microsoft office (Excel, Word and Outlook).
  • Time Management Skills: Possesses a strong sense of prioritization and is able to organize the day accordingly.

Education and/or Experience

  • High school diploma/GED (required)
  • Experience with reading and understanding medical terminology (required)
  • 1-2 years administrative and/or customer service experience (preferred)
