The range for this role is $80,000 - $109,000.  

Actual base pay will be determined based on a successful candidate's work location, skills/abilities, experience, and education. This role includes opportunity to receive an annual bonus target of 10% of annual eligible earnings. Actual bonus amounts are determined by length of time in role, individual performance, and organizational performance.

Interested candidates must be willing and able to work onsite 5 days per week in our Orlando, FL office.

The Job

The Manager, Human Resources (HR) leads human resources activities in compliance with Christian Care Ministry's philosophy, objectives, and legal requirements. This role recommends and leads the implementation of Employee Resource programs, policies, procedures, and practices that focus on attracting, retaining, and developing employees. This role partners with organization leaders and Human Resource functions to deliver collaborative solutions to retain employees, enhance their performance, and promote a positive work environment for all staff. 


Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities

  • Provide effective leadership across Human Resources to apply best practices in all HR functions
  • Act as a business partner to organization leaders to develop staffing and resource strategies to promote an effective and positive culture
  • Lead the implementation of HR programs, policies, procedures, and practices that focus on attracting, retaining, and developing the employee base
  • Serve as a site leader, act as a resource to the business on people topics, and work in coordination with the HR Leadership team for delivery of people solutions in the areas of: employee relations, recruiting, training and development, and administration of compensation and benefit programs
  • Ensure compliance with legislated requirements such as EEO, wage and hour, ADA, and OSHA
  • Identify and analyze escalated employee relation problems and take appropriate action to resolve such problems
  • Coordinate with HR Leadership and Legal on legal problems, lawsuits, and compliance issues
  • May oversee workers compensation claims and coordinate work with insurance carrier and staff
  • Oversee the HRIS data: ensure accuracy of employee information, prepare reports of employee data, and ensure the effective flow of information to appropriate people and systems
  • Foster an engaged employee workforce allowing employees to provide input into decision-making processes affecting their jobs and/or departments
  • Lead the annual performance review training and review cycle, ensuring effective performance management practices are followed
  • Provide training to leaders in people leadership best practices, compliance, and organization requirements
  • Lead the effective delivery and adherence to annual compliance training, handbook acknowledgements, and other requirements
  • Support, communicate, reinforce, and defend the mission, values and culture of the ministry
  • Develop strong relationships with CCM’s leadership team and staff
  • Pray with and for staff where appropriate
  • Contribute to the exercise and expression of Christian Care Ministry’s Christian beliefs
  • Perform all other duties as assigned

  • In-depth knowledge of Human Resources policy and general knowledge of other HR disciplines
  • Ability to identify, analyze, and develop solutions and make decisions on complex or unique issues which address CCM’s business needs

  • Special skills required: conflict resolution, negotiation, influencing, delivering business presentations, coaching, and counseling
  • Experience working with a HRIS system application
  • Ability to objectively coach employees and management through complex, and difficult emotional issues
  • Time management and priority-setting: strong organizational skills and the ability to keep track of multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
  • Exhibit a professional manner in dealing with others and work to maintain constructive working relationships
  • Position requires flexible availability and must be able to adjust schedule as needed
  • Must be able to maintain the strictest confidentiality

Education and/or Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree and 7 years’ HR (Employee Relations) experience required; preferably in a healthcare payer or financial services organization
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in an HR leadership role, or an equivalent combination of experience and training that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities
  • HR Certification (PHR, SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP) strongly preferred
  • Experience with ADP WorkforceNow strongly preferred
