The range for this role is $99,000 - $142,000

Actual base pay will be determined based on a successful candidate's work location, skills/abilities, experience, and education. This role includes opportunity to receive an annual bonus target of 10% of annual eligible earnings. Actual bonus amounts are determined by length of time in role, individual performance, and organizational performance.

Interested candidates must be willing and able to work onsite minimum 3 times per week in our Melbourne, FL office.

The Job

The Senior Project Manager - Vendor Oversight will be responsible for driving projects through the initiative lifecycle with operations business leaders, aligning stakeholders through effective communication across organizational levels. This role leverages project management expertise to manage project schedules, costs, resources, and vendor management to ensure aligned priorities, clear deliverables, and performance accountability. The Senior Project Manager - Vendor Oversight also mentors project managers and leads within the Project Management Office(PMO), monitoring standards across portfolio initiatives.


Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities

  • Engage and manage vendor relationships to ensure clear expectations, monitor performance, and address issues promptly. Lead vendor evaluations, contract discussions, and performance reviews.
  • Establish, onboard, and manage vendors, working closely with the Procurement team, as part of implementing vendor solutions that enhance Medi-Share Member provisions and offerings.
  • Must communicate clearly and concisely in verbal and written forms to stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Lead efficient meetings with a broad group of stakeholders in an organized approach to ensure meeting outcomes are achieved and follow-up items are tracked through completion.
  • Drive timely decision making, ensuring accountability with stakeholders based on the responsibility matrix.
  • Proactive risk management and mitigation plan definition to prevent impacts across service lines.
  • Effectively utilize discernment to determine when escalation is necessary.
  • Generate accurate, concise, and timely project status reports in alignment with PMO standards.
  • Ensure oversight and guidance to Business Analysts defining business requirements while tracking status to meet required deadlines.
  • Define and manage the resource pool allocation, monitoring over and under-allocation while working with service line managers to deliver project scope.
  • Manage and report on project forecast and budget explaining variances and utilizing earned value analysis.
  • Tightly manage change control, ensuring that changes are assessed for scope, cost, schedule, and opportunity cost impacts.
  • Facilitate buy versus build analysis with operational and Information Technology stakeholders.
  • Challenge and lead with the end in mind with business leaders to ensure successful outcomes.
  • Invest in learning and understanding the business implications of projects while utilizing experience to steer projects to meet objectives.
  • Define and contribute to project management knowledge areas and playbook documentation standards of the Project Management Office (PMO).
  • Mentor Project Managers to grow and excel within the organization.
  • Contribute to the Portfolio Management Playbook in alignment with PMO standards.
  • Evaluate cross-project interdependencies within the portfolio to determine the schedule and resource work sequence for success.
  • Participate in portfolio modeling, assessing the implications of changes to projects.
  • Contribute to the exercise and expression of Christian Care Ministry’s Christian beliefs
  • All other duties as assigned

Essential Skills & Abilities

  • Expert at building a project schedule Gantt; including dependencies, resources, milestones, and deliverables.
  • Proven verbal and written communication expertise, with the ability to manage vendor relations.
  • Ability to influence and foster collaborative vendor relationships.
  • Experienced in Project Portfolio Management software and vendor management tools.
  • Self-driven with strong organizational skills, capable of thriving in a dynamic environment.
  • Experience utilizing Project Portfolio Management software.
  • Accepts new opportunities and challenges with a sense of urgency, energy, and enthusiasm.
  • Ability to deliver results in an environment that requires a high degree of coordination in a matrix organization.
  • Self-driven and well organized even under challenging circumstances.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Ability to quickly learn Christian Care Ministry’s business practices.
  • Knowledgeable of Agile SDLC.

Education and/or Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree required; MBA preferred.
  • 10+ years of project management experience in a health insurance payer is required.
  • Medicare or Individual and Family Plan delegated vendor oversight experience is preferred.
  • PMP or PMI-ACP certification is highly preferred.
