CircleCI is seeking a passionate and driven Community Manager to nurture and grow our community of developers. This role is centered around creating meaningful relationships, providing valuable resources, and fostering a sense of unity and collaboration among developers.
As a Community Manager, you will be the face of CircleCI in various online and offline platforms where developers congregate, providing help and resources, and ultimately creating our own vibrant community. Your focus will be on building and nurturing this community with the objective of aiding developers in their work, by providing forums, information, and assistance.
This role is a part of our Field Marketing and Community team and plays a crucial role in our marketing strategy.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute a comprehensive community engagement strategy, both online and offline.
- Represent CircleCI in various developer forums and platforms, providing resources, answering queries, and building relationships.
- Plan, coordinate, and execute community events and meetups to foster engagement and build stronger relationships within the community.
- Identify key community members and leverage their expertise to assist others and foster a collaborative environment.
- Create and manage a content calendar for community engagement, including blog posts, webinars, Q&A sessions, and other relevant content.
- Support the Global Events Manager to identify relevant events, securing internal and external high quality speakers, panelists and workshop facilitators.
- Support the content and social media teams to create, share and amplify community orientated content that aligns with our brand.
- Coordinate with other departments to address community feedback and concerns.
Qualifications:
- Experience in community management, preferably within a tech or developer-focused company.
- Proven experience in measuring and reporting on community health and growth, and taking a data-driven approach to community management.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships.
- Experience planning and executing events, both online and offline.
- Strong understanding of developer communities and the ability to engage with them effectively.
- Proactive problem solver with a strong sense of ownership and a "get things done" attitude.
- Experience with social media management and content creation.
- Proficiency in using community platforms, social media, and CRM software.
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Passionate about helping and empowering others, particularly within the developer community.
