YOUR DAY-TO-DAY WORK
In this role, you will serve as a key point of contact for legal and compliance inquiries within CIC. 
Your responsibilities will include working with the General Counsel to manage the entire lifecycle of corporate documents, from their initial drafting to the final execution. You will also play a pivotal role in fostering internal coordination among various teams at CIC, with a particular focus on facilitating seamless collaboration with the Legal, Finance, Expansion, and senior management teams. Furthermore, you will actively engage in conducting routine audits and assessments, ensuring that our operations consistently comply with pertinent laws and regulations. Moreover, you will:

LEGAL TEAM RESPONSIBILITIES
• Facilitate external coordination with law firms, accountants and compliance professionals in multiple jurisdictions, with an initial focus on Europe and Asia.
• Store and organize executed corporate documents.
• Working with the General Counsel, review and prepare documents and agreements to present to the management team, including but not limited to: NDAs, intercompany agreements, Board consents, lease documents and partnership agreements.
•Create, manage, update and operate a global request and task dashboard for the legal and compliance team for a real-time view of tasks in progress.
•Support the General Counsel in timely moving legal requests and projects from initial inquiry to resolution.
• Provide project management support to the legal team.
• Working with CIC colleagues and outside experts, perform GDPR related legal and compliance tasks.

COMPLIANCE RESPONSIBILITIES
• Maintain and update corporate records (e.g. document database, entity information, signatory powers, intellectual property assets).
• Support the global compliance function by incorporating, and supporting  entities registrations and renewals across CIC’s global portfolio
• Process government and regulatory filings as needed (e.g. business license, local taxes).
• Monitor reporting requirements and processing annual reports.
• Collaborate with the Finance Team (e.g. EIN, VAT).
• Identify potential compliance risks and work proactively to mitigate them.
• Support the intellectual property function within the legal team.

YOU HAVE
• A bachelor's degree or equivalent years of experience.
• A minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience.
• Knowledge of corporate law and compliance best practices.
• Experience working as a paralegal or in a legal environment preferred.
• Proficiency with applications and software such as Gmail, Gdocs, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• An interest in a long-term role - we are a growing company, and we like to hire people who can grow with us over the years.
