CIC is looking for a self-motivated and detail-oriented individual to help create a welcoming and well-run workspace for our clients. As an Part-time Operations Team Member, you’ll play a hands-on role in maintaining the day-to-day operations of our Providence office space.

Starting Pay: $19/hour
Hours: 25-29 hours per week, Monday-Friday

Shifts Available:
Morning Shift: 7:30 AM - 12:30 PM
Afternoon Shift: 11:00 AM - 4:00 PM

ABOUT CIC PROVIDENCE
CIC Providence first opened its doors in the fall of 2019. Located in a brand new building in the historic Jewelry District, now Providence’s Innovation and Design District, the 191k square foot space is anchored by CIC and shared by Brown's School of Professional Studies and the city's first civic gathering space, known as District Hall Providence. Together, these organizations foster innovation that will act as a catalyst for research and development for exceptional entrepreneurs across the greater Providence area.


YOUR DAY-TO-DAY WORK
You will join our community team, which is composed of several full-time and part-time employees. The team works together to satisfy the day-to-day needs of our clients and ensure that the physical space is functional and organized. Some work will be independent while at other times it will require collaboration with other members of the CIC staff. We are a team-based company, and you will be evaluated on your performance by other team members. 

Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
• Upkeep of conference rooms, phone booths, copy centers, and other shared areas.
• Daily restocking of assorted snacks and beverages, and maintaining kitchen space to look neat and presentable to clients and guests.
• Assembling and moving furniture between offices, installing shelves and whiteboards, and basic cleaning of empty offices like vacuuming or dusting.
• Maintaining and organizing storage inventories such as copy paper, kitchen snacks, and other daily supplies.
• Providing basic tech support such as setting up printer drivers and VoIP phones, troubleshooting conference room phones and display screens, troubleshooting printers/copiers and changing toner.
• Sorting incoming mail and process packages by receiving and organizing shipments and contacting clients.
• Assisting with setup of event spaces.
• Building strong professional relationships with clients in the community.
• As needed and schedule permitting, assisting the Community Team with other office tasks.

• Foreign languages are a plus!

YOU HAVE
• The capacity to learn and provide basic tech support (e.g. setting up printer drivers, VoIP phones, troubleshooting things like conference room projectors).
• Comfort with basic power tools (e.g. using a drill).
• The ability to move boxes weighing up to 40 pounds (18kg), positioning them on wheeled carts and transporting them around our space, including on and off elevators and through doorways.
• The ability to position yourself to maintain tidy shared/office space, including under assembled tables/desks in conference/office spaces. 
• The ability to work every weekday, starting at either 7:30 AM (morning shift) or 11:00 AM (afternoon shift), depending on the assigned schedule.
