About Our Business in Japan:
We established our Japan subsidiary in April 2022, and under the leadership of Kenichiro Ina, we have rapidly grown to become a trusted partner for businesses across various industries. Kenichiro has played a key role in the launch and growth of our business in Japan, and his deep local expertise and strong leadership have significantly contributed to our success.

Currently, we have a team of approximately 18 members who play critical roles in key functions, including Account Executives (AEs), Sales Development Representatives (SDRs), Presales, Customer Success Managers (CSMs), Marketing, and Partner Sales. Together, we are dedicated to helping companies improve efficiency, drive innovation, and support their digital transformation efforts.

About the Role:
We are looking for a diligent multilingual translator to translate English to Japanese text making sure to maintain their original meaning, format and tone. The translator will be responsible for the accurate translation of our products, documents and marketing communication content.

Translator responsibilities include reading and thoroughly understanding the context of given material, using specialized dictionaries and proofreading finished pieces of work. To be successful in this role, you should have a keen eye for detail, have advanced English language skills in addition to your native Japanese language.

Ultimately, you will provide ready-to-use translated content that meets our internal needs and helps us reach a broader audience.

Your responsibilities?

  • Provide accurate translations of texts.
  • Converting text and audio recordings from English to Japanese.
  • Liaising with colleagues to ensure that translations are true to the original meaning.
  • Excellent proofreading skills with the ability to identify grammar, spelling and punctuation errors.
  • Ensuring translated texts conveys original meaning and tone.
  • Read given material and research industry-specific terminology.
  • Prepare subtitles for videos and online presentations.
  • About you?

  • Current university student, ideally studying linguistics, English, translation or communications. 
  • Fluent in Japanese and advanced in English. 
  • Excellent time-management skills and attention to detail.
  • Reading material and researching industry-specific terminology.
  • Interested in marketing communication as this role may require you to support Japan marketing activities in addition to translation projects.
  • Familiar with Google Workspace or Microsoft Office tools (Slides, Documents, Spreadsheets.
