The Impact of Senior Software Engineering in Test to Coupa:
 
As part of the Quality Engineering Team, you will join in our "shift-left approach" to focus on doing it right the first time by pushing tests to the lowest component level and adding additional tests as needed at the integration and user interface level.  We have quality engineers dedicated to each product team to provide guidance and influence release criteria, including adding new automated tests for every code change to enable continuous integration.

Responsibilities:

  • Establish quality engineering, automation testing, and continuous integration practices with an emphasis on back-end APIs and systems integration.
  • Provide feedback on design (functional and technical) and be a vocal champion for quality in every phase of the development process.
  • Own the quality of complete module and ensure 100% regression automation along with development.
  • Experience building API tests for functional and performance testing.
  • Conduct code reviews to manage automation code quality.
  • Work closely with product and development teams to clarify requirements and provide feedback on functional and technical design.
  • Participate in sprint planning meetings and daily stand ups to stay on top of things and report progress.
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and identify failing systems using instrumentation and software.
  • Strong expertise in leveraging a wide variety of open-source technologies.
  • Work with cross functional team to ship high quality releases.
  • Be a vocal champion for quality in every phase of the development process.
  • Requirements:

  • BS/B.Tech degree in Computer Science from a reputed institution.
  • 7+ years core development experience as Software Engineer/SDET.
  • Strong understanding of computer science fundamentals and data structures.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrable experience in writing clean code quickly in languages like C#/.net, Java, Python, JavaScript, etc.
  • Understanding of QA methodologies, life cycle, and processes.
  • Experience in writing test frameworks and automation tools.
  • Test and Behavior Driven Development tools like Selenium, Cucumber framework, RestClients.
  • REST APIs with JSON and XML payloads.
  • Experience with open-source performance test tools like Gatling, Jmeter.
  • Build and CI/CD systems such as Jenkins, MSBuild.
  • Experience with public cloud providers like AWS.
