The Sr. UX Researcher will join our product team and work on design deliverables for Coupa’s Design System, Clarity. Clarity provides the building blocks for products that are used by some of the largest companies in the world! Our products are evolving to be more innovative, intuitive, adaptable, and accessible, this is all being made possible with advancements in Clarity. What you will do:

  • Collaborate across teams to create research plans to solve product and UX problems.
  • Advocate for best research practices and a user-centered design process.
  • Help integrate user research and usability testing into the current design and product development process.
  • Develop an enterprise persona library.
  • Create meaningful relationships with customers and users
  • Deepen the usage of analytics tools, such as Pendo, Google Analytics, etc. to help Product Managers and UX Designers understand the usage and trends of the current product.
  • Plan, and conduct usability studies, analysis, and actionable recommendations for new designs
  • Lead all phases of user research, including recruiting, scheduling, and test scripts or survey development and performing research
  • Being familiar with both qualitative and quantitative methodologies
  • Identify and implement a variety of methods for getting input and feedback from customers and end users including participatory design methods, interviews, observational studies, online feedback mechanisms, focus groups (in-person and remote), card-sorting exercises, lab usability studies, online usability studies, remote usability studies, and others as appropriate
  • Write research reports and create presentations to communicate research findings and recommendations
  • Participate in design brainstorming with Product Managers and UX Designers.
  • What you will bring to Coupa:

  • 5+ years’ experience in designing and conducting UX Research as a part of a user-centric design process.
  • Degree in human-computer interaction, human factors, or other similar fields with an emphasis on research methodologies.
  • Proven ability to execute UX research activities in a complex domain with complex interaction design systems.
  • Ability to provide meaningful data-driven action items and guidance from research findings.
  • Strong presentation skills and comfortable presenting to all levels of leadership.
  • High levels of experience with research tools.
  • Must be able to show prior work examples of research projects and the results of the findings.
  • Understanding of overall web and user experience design, including basic usability, web accessibility, industry standards, and web analytics of enterprise products.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team on multiple projects.
  • Strong communication skills; spoken English (C1 level)
