Job Summary:

The Associate Director, Marketing Capabilities & Operations is the commercial business lead responsible for the development, continued evolution and ongoing operations of various marketing capabilities, including but not limited to Marketing CRM, Consent & Preference Management, and digital capabilities.  This role will have a high degree of autonomy to assess marketing capabilities and own and develop the roadmap in alignment with the needs of the business and customers. 

The successful candidate will be responsible for educating internal and external stakeholders on digital and Marketing Technology standards, processes and procedures. As the point commercial privacy steward, this role will collaborate with the Compliance Office on privacy policies and procedures to ensure compliance with the US Federal, State, and local laws, and ex-US laws where Cytokinetics has commercial products available.

This role can be based in Radnor, PA or San Francisco, CA.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Partner with internal stakeholders, including Marketing, to facilitate the on-time execution of marketing services; proactively identify risks and roadblocks and takes action to address them with lens of continuous improvement
  • Develop communication and training documentation to educate stakeholders on technology including digital use cases to improve understanding
  • Develop and maintain a digital technology roadmap to continually assess and bring forward new trends in marketing capabilities to improve customer engagement and experience
  • Engage with Marketing, Sales, and other commercial teams to understand their needs, identify areas of opportunity and collaborate on projects
  • Design, implement, and recommend  pilots to test new technologies and solutions; define business requirements for marketing technology platforms, complete suitability assessments
  • Develop, manage as well as champion, channel standards, including channel content templates, to ensure promotional resources are designed to meet compliance and regulatory requirements and provide the optimal UX
  • Partner with Data, Insights, and Analytics functions to advance digital data and analytics practices
  • Act as the Business Lead to inform the Content Tagging requirements for content insights & analytics purposes
  • Manage ongoing operations for managed service vendors
  • Ensure all relevant policies, procedures, and work instructions are developed and maintained
  • Responsible for financial management of the function, including budget, contract management, resources, and ensuring productivity against impact is delivered

Education and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree with 10+ years of related experience; experience in rare disease preferred
  • Prior experience managing vendor service provider(s) (preferred)
  • Prior experience with marketing capabilities/technologies, digital marketing channels required
  • Demonstrated experience leading in-direct teams and rolling out new capabilities
  • Ability to assess and understand business requirements and translate into requirements to meet the needs of the business deliver
  • Strong team player who has a partnership and collaboration mindset and is solution-oriented
  • Excellent project management skills and ability to work in a cross-functional environment and handle multiple tasks; demonstrated by on-time, on-budget project delivery
  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills with the ability to identify, implement, and monitor solution outcomes
  • Attention to detail and the ability to work independently, within a multidisciplinary team, and with external partners and vendors
  • Demonstrated leadership qualities with the ability to listen, adapt, and excel in leading and working with ambiguity
  • Excellent interpersonal and facilitation skills; able to foster cooperation and lead cross-functionally; appropriately speaks up to raise issues; keeps team and management fully apprised of initiative status and issues
  • Demonstrated accomplishments in delivering objectives of new projects/initiatives
  • This role will be primarily based in either the Radnor, PA or South San Franciso, CA office; there will be limited travel required (estimated at 20+% of time) for work-related functions and meetings.

Actual salary at the time of hire may vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors, including, but not limited to, the candidate’s relevant qualifications, skills, and experience, as well as the service line and location where this position may be filled.

Salary Pay Range
$185,000$220,000 USD
