Mission
Financial Systems sits at the heart of Deliveroo marketplace and handles all aspects of the money movement ecosystem - from consumer payments, financial reconciliation workflows, accounting treatments, payments out to riders and restaurants, and invoicing. We are a cross-discipline group of product managers, software engineers, data scientists - working in close partnership with the Corporate functions, Tech, and Product verticals to build this critical strategic enabler for our marketplace.
We are seeking a senior product manager to join this domain and play an integral role in achieving our company’s growth plans.
What you’ll be doing
- Set vision, strategy, roadmaps, and deliver on complex initiatives to enhance and scale Financial Systems money movements platform capabilities and services
- Engage with the key stakeholders (Tech, and non-Tech Corporate functions) to gather detailed requirements and translate complex business needs into clear and concise product requirements and technical design documents
- Accountable for executing on the roadmaps to deliver measured value to the business; confidently and independently orchestrating a cross-functional team of engineers and key stakeholders
- Provide thought leadership on the Financial Systems platform capabilities. Shape product strategy narratives (e.g. product vision, annual planning, PRFAQs, 1 pagers), and lead on the engagements and discussions across the organisation
- Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of the product domain area. Use data-driven insights to make informed decisions and drive continuous improvement.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Product Manager in a technology-driven company, preferably in the financial services industry with exposure to financial reporting processes.
- Highly detail-oriented and thrives in an environment where impact and velocity of execution are paramount
- Understanding of the financial reporting practices and accounting principles
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to gather, evaluate, and synthesize complex data to make informed product decisions
- Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively communicate complex concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Demonstrated ability to own projects, be data-driven and influence across all levels of an organisation
