Position Summary: 

The PropertyManager of the Democratic Properties Corporation (DPC) is responsible for leading all facilities related projects, ensuring that the Democratic National Headquarters (DNHQ) facilities meet the changing needs of our members, elected officials, voters, and staff. Through close work with the Operations teams of the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee, Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee, and Democratic National Committee. The PropertyManager requires hands-on day-to-day oversight, meticulous tracking of project progress and effective management of third party vendors and contractors to promote efficient and cost-effective use of the National Democratic Headquarters premises, facilities, equipment and materials. The Property Manager manages the day-to-day of the facilities team and vendors. 
The PropertyManager must have the ability to navigate changing situations in a timely manner and project manage solutions while adhering to tight deadlines and reporting requirements. Successful candidates will have a strong customer focus approach. We are looking for a process and solutions oriented individual who is able to work with a variety of people in a professional manner. This is an exempt position.


Responsibilities

  • Provide quality building support services to the Democratic National Headquarters in order to maintain the integrity, safety, and cleanliness of the environment within the offices.
  • Serves as the primary project manager for all facilities projects, leading and coordinating the planning, budgeting, execution and completion phases of projects to ensure timely and within-budget delivery while communicating project status on a regular basis to key stakeholders.
  • Manage general building/grounds housekeeping, upgrades, repair and maintenance issues, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations, codes and standards. 
  • Responsible for purchasing goods and services as required while adhering to department purchasing guidelines and procedures. 
  • Create and upkeep documentation on regular regular facilities inspections, maintenance work, repairs, and other occurrences.
  • Ensure the environment is safe and undertake regular building and facilities inspections to ensure that any safety hazards are identified and rectified.
  • Ensure the building meets all applicable building codes and maintain insurance, tax, permit, license and environmental compliance.
  • Manage building projects with vendors and engineers or other service providers as necessary.
  • Negotiates Operations and Maintenance subcontracts and manages relationships with vendors.
  • Liaise with service contractors as necessary to ensure that services are provided as required and in line with service agreements.
