About the Role

As a Product Marketing Manager (IC2), you will play a key role in shaping how our products are positioned, launched, and adopted. You’ll be responsible for executing GTM strategies, crafting compelling messaging, supporting sales and customer support teamsd to drive customer adoption through growth-focused initiatives.

This role is ideal for someone with at least two years of experience in product marketing, product management, or sales enablement. If you have a strong analytical mindset, a knack for storytelling, and a deep understanding of customer needs, you’ll thrive in this role.

Bonus: If you have experience with WordPress and the broader WordPress ecosystem, that’s a huge plus. Cloudways is widely used by WordPress agencies, developers, and businesses, so familiarity with the ecosystem will help you create more impactful marketing strategies.

What You’ll Be Doing

Go-to-Market (GTM) Strategy & Execution

  • Develop and execute GTM plans for new product launches, features, and updates, ensuring alignment across marketing, customer success, supportand product teams.
  • Conduct market research, customer segmentation, and competitive analysis to refine positioning and messaging.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to develop launch strategies that drive awareness, acquisition, and adoption.
  • Define success metrics for product marketing initiatives and track performance post-launch.

Product Positioning, Pricing & Messaging

  • Craft compelling value propositions, messaging frameworks, and content that resonates with our target audience, differentiating Cloudways from competitors.
  • Develop key assets such as website copy, landing pages, sales decks, one-pagers, email campaigns, and case studies to support product success.
  • Work closely with the product team to shape product development and roadmap based on market research and customer insights.
  • Partner with finance and product teams to define and optimize pricing and packaging strategies, ensuring competitiveness and revenue growth.
  • Ensure product messaging remains consistent across all channels, from marketing campaigns to customer communications.

Sales Enablement & Customer Engagement

  • Work closely with sales, partnerships, and customer success teams to provide them with the right tools, training, and content to effectively position Cloudways.
  • Create sales collateral, battle cards, product training materials, and competitive intelligence reports.
  • Develop and execute campaigns that help nurture leads, increase conversions, and reduce churn.
  • Conduct customer interviews, case studies, and surveys to gather insights that inform our messaging and product roadmap.

Growth & Adoption

  • Identify and execute growth strategies to increase adoption and expansion across different customer segments.
  • Collaborate with demand generation, lifecycle marketing, and content teams to develop and optimize growth-focused campaigns.
  • Analyze usage data, churn patterns, and customer feedback to recommend improvements that drive retention and expansion.
  • Support pricing and packaging decisions by analyzing customer needs, market trends, and competitive benchmarks.

What We’re Looking For

  • Minimum 2+ years of experience in product marketing, product management, or sales enablement, preferably working with SaaS or cloud-based solutions.
  • Strong understanding of GTM strategies, product positioning, sales enablement, and growth frameworks.
  • Experience conducting market research, competitive analysis, and customer segmentation.
  • Ability to craft clear, compelling messaging and positioning that resonates with developers, agencies, and businesses.
  • Comfortable working cross-functionally with sales, support, product, finance, marketing, and customer success teams.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and extract actionable insights.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills—you can simplify complex concepts for different audiences.
  • Self-motivated, highly organized, and adaptable in a fast-paced, ever-evolving environment.
  • Experience with pricing models, packaging strategies, and revenue optimization is a plus.
  • Familiarity with marketing automation tools, CRM, and analytics platforms is a plus.
  • Bonus: Experience working with WordPress or WordPress-related products (themes, plugins, hosting, etc.). Knowledge of the WordPress ecosystem, including trends, key players, and community engagement, is highly valuable.
