This role for a dynamic attorney at DigitalOcean involves SEC reporting and corporate securities work, managing and developing governance policies, supporting stock administration, working on strategic transactions including M&A, advising on regulatory trends and handling all variety of corporate matters including supporting Board activities. This is an outstanding opportunity to make a big impact within a public company and partner closely with diverse functional areas across the DigitalOcean community.
Reporting to the General Counsel, this attorney will be an integral member of a high-performing and growing legal team as the company experiences rapid expansion. This is a hybrid opportunity at our Colorado headquarters.
What You’ll Be Doing:

You have deep expertise in securities matters, public company corporate governance and/or strategic corporate transactions.

You have primary responsibility for SEC filings (including 10-Ks, 10-Qs, 8-Ks, Proxy Statements and Section 16 filings) and advising on other public company disclosures.

You will ensure compliance with federal and state securities and corporate laws, as well as NYSE rules and regulations.

You will lead or assist on a variety of corporate transactions, including M&A and financing transactions.

You will lead corporate governance matters including codes of conduct and other corporate policies and implement training initiatives.

You will participate in a cross-functional team to promote domestic and international strategic long-term projects and initiatives.

You will develop, implement and improve company and team processes and procedures.
What You'll Add to DigitalOcean:

J.D. from a nationally-accredited law school and license to state bar.

10+ years of experience as a corporate attorney with a combination of law firm and in-house experience.

Creative and thoughtful problem solver.

Employment law experience is not required but considered a plus.

Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills, including ability to connect with stakeholders at all levels.

- We reward our employees. The salary range for this position is between $250,000 - $306,200 based on market data, relevant years of experience, and skills. You may qualify for a bonus in addition to base salary; bonus amounts are determined based on company and individual performance. We also provide equity compensation to eligible employees, including equity grants upon hire and the option to participate in our Employee Stock Purchase Program.
