The PMO Manager will be responsible for establishing, maintaining, and enhancing the Project Management Office (PMO) within the organization. The individual will drive strategic projects, develop project governance frameworks, and ensure the successful delivery of business-critical initiatives. This role will focus on improving project management methodologies, defining KPIs, managing resources, and ensuring alignment with organizational goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. PMO Strategy & Framework Development
    • Design and implement the overall PMO strategy, structure, and methodologies to enhance project delivery.
    • Develop and maintain project management standards, guidelines, and best practices.
    • Create a project governance framework to ensure transparency, consistency, and compliance across all projects.
  2. Project Planning & Execution
    • Oversee the planning and execution of high-priority projects, ensuring alignment with strategic goals.
    • Provide project management support and guidance to project managers and teams.
    • Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies.
  3. Resource Management & Capacity Planning
    • Manage project resources, including allocation, forecasting, and capacity planning.
    • Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure optimal resource utilization.
  4. Performance Monitoring & Reporting
    • Establish and track project KPIs to measure performance, quality, and delivery success.
    • Prepare regular project status reports and dashboards for senior leadership.
  5. Stakeholder Management
    • Engage with senior management, business leaders, and key stakeholders to understand project priorities and expectations.
    • Facilitate regular meetings and updates with project teams and stakeholders.
  6. Continuous Improvement
    • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to refine the project management processes and tools.
    • Stay updated with industry best practices and incorporate them into the PMO framework.
  7. Team Leadership & Development
    • Mentor and develop project managers and support staff within the PMO.
    • Promote a culture of accountability, collaboration, and high performance.

Key Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Project Management, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in project management, with at least 3 years in a PMO leadership role.
  • Strong understanding of project management methodologies (Agile, Scrum, Kanban etc).
  • Proven experience in establishing and managing a PMO in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency with project management tools (e.g. JIRA etc).
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • PMP, PRINCE2, or Agile certification is preferred.
