About the role
We are seeking an IT Help Desk Coordinator to help support our growing employee base and infrastructure in EMEA and UK. This position requires being in the Lisbon office at least 3 times a week. As an IT Help Desk Coordinator, you assist users in person, via chat, or virtually, assess and diagnose hardware and software problems, and implement effective solutions. You will also help evaluate, implement, automate, and deploy new technologies as we add new tools to our corporate infrastructure. We believe that our role is to be continually learning: improving our understanding of and ability to safely operate our service and provide the best possible experience for our users.
What you’ll be doing
- Assist with new hires and their onboarding, including, but not limited to, administrative support alignment, setup of user accounts, and ordering and deploying laptops and peripherals to new users in EMEA and UK
- Maintain and track inventory of laptops and office equipment such as monitors, USB adapters, monitors, chargers, etc.
- Manage relationships with building management, security, engineering, and outside vendors, including landlords and building management
- Assist with Lisbon office setup, including new-hire desks, conference room equipment, internet connection, equipment storage, etc.
- Support, maintain, and troubleshoot systems, including Macs and PCs, utilizing Windows 10/11, Linux, Mac OSX, Microsoft Office 365, Google Workspace, Slack, Zoom, and other enterprise applications
- Support with security and compliance tools such as Single Sign-On (SSO), Endpoint Detect and Response (EDR), Mobile Device Management (MDM), Data Loss Prevention (DLP), and other security software
- Assist with end-user security compliance tracking using Vanta or similar software
- Manage leases and vendor agreements for office spaces and employee accommodations in partnership with the Senior Executive Administrator
- Install and configure software
- Set up printers, scanners, and other peripherals
- Document issue resolution using a help desk ticketing system
- Document steps and procedures internal to the IT team using Atlassian software
- Assist office operations such as mail management, stocking supplies, and decorations, etc.
What we’re looking for
- Ideally 1+ years of IT experience in a fast-growing startup environment
- Exceptional customer service
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to efficiently prioritize often fluctuating workload
- Strong problem-solving and ability to learn quickly in a dynamic environment
Return to Office Philosophy
Workplace Wednesdays - to break down silos, build relationships and improve cross-team communication. Lunch catering / meal credits provided in the office and local socials align to Workplace Wednesdays. In general, Dremio will remain a hybrid work environment. We will not be implementing a 100% (5 days a week) return to office policy for all roles.
