Position Description
The primary role of the Behavioral Interventionist is to support scholars with IEPs through small group instruction, push-in classroom support, and reading intervention. The ideal candidate should have experience working with students with disabilities and challenging behaviors.

Job Responsibilities
Assist scholars with behavioral challenges in and outside the classroom
Provide support to students with special education needs to achieve IEP goals
Collaborate with scholars' general education and RSP teacher
Facilitate reading intervention, small group instruction and pull out groups
Conduct academic assessments
Provide instruction in various drills and activities using learning strategies designed to introduce, reinforce, or modify skills
Actively participate in professional development aimed at refining both school culture and academics
Work and assist teachers during the school day with instruction, oversight, and supervision of students
Follow policies and procedures for health, safety, and nutrition
Maintain high behavioral expectations for scholar behavior at all times and enforce Equitas Academy’s positive discipline policies
Maintain open lines of communication with staff, parents, and other stakeholders
May provide adaptive supports with eating and toileting
Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:
• AA degree or equivalent required
• BA degree preferred
Knowledge and experience in ABA
• Criminal clearance, including fingerprints and TB Test
• Previous experience working with and supervising children
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred
• Current CPR and 1st Aid Certificate within 3 months of employment

Starting at $21/hour.
