About the Role:
FareHarbor (FH) is seeking a Financial Planning and Analysis (FPA) Manager to join our Finance team based in Amsterdam. The right candidate will play a pivotal role in developing proactively and timely key insights that can support decision making. An ideal FareHarbor FPA Manager should be eager to tackle new projects, be data-savvy, and capable of thriving in a scaling business environment. This role will report to our Global Director of Finance and work cross functionally with departments across all of our departments and regions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build strong cross-functional relationships across FareHarbor and Booking.com using these connections to translate interactions into actionable financial insights and to scale the FPA team in line
- Expertly synthesize financial outputs to summarize expected and actual business performance, providing recommendations
- Own various FPA workstreams including but not limited to budgeting, forecasting, ad-hoc planning and monthly financial deliverables
- Assist respective teams with ad-hoc financial models and analysis, including evaluations for new investments and ROI on past investments
- Lead and develop FPA team in alignment with business needs, focusing on skill set development, performance management and career growth of team members
- Drive process automation within team by leveraging financial tooling
- Lead by example, modeling FH Leadership competencies and finance ways of working
- Actively pursue continuous improvement across financial processes
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree (Finance, Engineering or any related field) - master’s degree or professional certification preferred (eg. CFA, CPA)
- 6+ years of professional experience in Finance
- Strong proficiency in financial planning software and business intelligence tools (eg. Anaplan, Tableau)
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel and Powerpoint/Google Slides
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence and engage effectively across various departments.
- Proven track record of leading cross-functional projects
- Strong analytical and organizational skills
- 3+ years of people management experience
- Able to work in an ambiguous, fast-growing, team-first environment - we’re only a decade old and not everything is buttoned-up. Patience and flexibility will be useful attributes to have
