POSITION OVERVIEW 

We are looking for a safety minded, diligent, organized, hard-working candidate in our Olive Branch, MS Fulfillment Center, who will help be responsible for management of chemical, fertilizer, and seed deliveries for a central distribution center and warehouse network, with direct delivery to farmers. The position also requires local deliveries up to 250 miles out in both Class A and B equipment and warehouse duties as needed. Oversees all functions and ensures smooth operation of driving, delivery and warehouse activities. 

RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • This is a local driving and delivery position with local direct deliveries up to 250 miles out, and warehouse duties as needed, and will involve physical movement of product
  • Adhering to the compliance of all legal and safety procedures.
  • Managing the product flow and paperwork duties including: receipt, pick, pack, ship and return of product.
  • Ensuring the proper functioning of all tools and equipment.
  • Ensuring correct orders are safely loaded, accurate and ready for delivery
  • Safe operation of all equipment
  • Operate a variety of equipment as necessary (tractor/trailer, forklift, manual and electric pallet jacks, box truck)
  • Complete regular safety and quality audits
  • Coordinate outflow of product delivered to warehouses and farmers with direct customer interactions and coordination of delivery times and instructions
  • Comply with driving and warehousing rules and regulations as well as with company policies and procedures
  • Collect and verify delivery instructions
  • Report defects, accidents or violations 

REQUIRED EXPERIENCES & QUALIFICATIONS 

  • Current Class A CDL with Hazmat and Tanker endorsement (or ability to obtain endorsements) and clean driving record 
  • Minimum 5 years Class A working experience with winter and mountain driving experience in product distribution to customer base 
  • Proven work experience managing multiple stops and direct deliveries
  • Knowledge of the safety and legal documentation processes for handling related driving, delivery and warehouse activities (MSDS, Equipment checklist, BOL) 
  • Should have excellent leadership and administration skills and abilities
  • Ability to effectively manage time, resolve crisis and decision making
  • Ability to efficiently coordinate workings with internal and external workers of the company 
  • Willingness and ability to effectively work multiple roles (driver, delivery, warehouse) and shifts with occasional weekend shifts during peak season 
  • Clean/Pass DOT drug/alcohol and physical 

PREFERRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS 

  • Certified, or ability to be certified on equipment (forklift, etc) 
  • Working understanding of WMS system 
  • Hazmat endorsement 
  • Acceptable incident history 
  • Comply with safety regulations 
  • Ability to safely handle equipment used to physically move inventory
  • Extensive knowledge of applicable truck driving rules and regulations
  • Adaptability and foresight to handle unexpected situations(traffic, weather conditions etc)

The following represents FBN's reasonable estimate of the US national average base hourly rate for this role based on market data and placement of internal employees: $28.00-$35.00/hr. This hour range may vary based on geography and the higher cost of labor in some metropolitan areas.
