The Role

The Paralegal will be an integral member of the legal team responsible for maintaining the company’s books and records as well as compliance maintenance. The role benefits from a mix of law firm and in-house work environments. 

This position is a hybrid role based in Raleigh, North Carolina. 


Specific Responsibilities Include

  • Support M&A transactional diligence and post-transaction integration 
  • Manage individual licensing program for agricultural crop inputs.
  • US and Canada regulatory filings supporting the Company’s crop inputs.
  • Perform 50-state legal research, summarize and assemble results.
  • Conduct initial trademark clearance searches.
  • Support secured transactions work including researching and completing UCC and EFS filings.
  • Monitor bonding requirements with insurance broker.
  • Communicate and provide timely information to regulators and inspectors.
  • Aid in litigation management, to include: maintaining an internal filing system for documentation related to cases, tracking deadlines, and prepping documents for subpoenas

 

Qualifications

The successful candidate is an effective communicator capable of bridging across legal, accounting, and the sales organization. You will own key elements of the reporting calendar and coordinate to ensure all stakeholders are engaged and timely.

  • Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 2 years of experience as a corporate paralegal in a law firm or in house setting.
  • Paralegal Certificate or qualifying work experience required 
  • The successful candidate will possess the following characteristics:
    • Strong organizational and communication skills
    • High level of attention to detail and accountability for data
    • Capable of handling multiple responsibilities simultaneously
    • Proven ability to work well in a team-oriented environment
  • Advanced proficiency with CSC, G-Suite, Microsoft Word, and Excel is strongly preferred

The following represents FBN's reasonable estimate of the US national average base salary range for this role based on market data and placement of internal employees: $93,000-$110,000. This salary range may vary based on geography and the higher cost of labor in some metropolitan areas.
