Position Summary:

FL68 is seeking an innovative and highly motivated Research Associate with expertise in culturing and maintaining induced pluripotent stem cell (iPSCs) lines and directed cell differentiations. This candidate will play a vital role in the company’s efforts to demonstrate platform capabilities and transition findings into early pre-clinical studies. This candidate must have a strong desire to work collaboratively within and across teams, have excellent communication skills, and be willing to work in a highly dynamic and fast-paced entrepreneurial environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support Drug Substance and Drug Product development team by maintaining a continuous induced pluripotent stem cell (iPSC) seed train.
  • Perform directed differentiations to support material generation for cross functional team.
  • Support Drug Substance development team by performing cell-based and molecular assays as needed (e.g. ELISAs, Flow Cytometry, qRT-PCR, metabolic).
  • Maintain a detailed and up-to-date electronic lab notebook and write high quality experimental protocols.
  • Present results to the scientific team and management.
  • Availability to work some weekends.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • BA/BS in life sciences, biology, or related field with 1-2 years of relevant in vitro experience in academia or industry
  • Previous experience with iPSC cultured and directed differentiations.
  • Experience with molecular and cell biology assays.
